Stupid Yapping Dog

Hey Lads,

Two doors down from me have this little dog which obviously needs firing into outer space.. It doesn't bark because its one of those "fake" little dogs but it YAPS at ALL times of the day and drives me MENTAL.

Literally I kid you not, it yapped at a cat sitting on the fence today for 35 minutes NON STOP. The cat, realising how pathetic the "dog" was, just sat there whilst the "dog" attempted to jump at the cat.

The owners do not seem to care about their little noisy rat and as such it becomes aparent that I have 2 options.

1) Complain to someone (owners seem to be oblivious)
2) "Deal" with the "dog" personally.

Anyone have experience with this kind of issue?

Do I call noise pollution or pest control

Out-yap the dog. Growl at it a bit and mark your territory. Show him who's alpha by getting in his face then maybe he'll **** off?

Still yapping away at 20 to 12.. The mum comes out and talks to it like its a baby instead of just giving it a slap and using a harsh tone.

Just come to Collier Row, You should hear the thing within a mile radius..

I can't figure out the dog situation. Im sure they have a dog flap since the thing is so pathetic. It seems to come outside, yap for 30 mins and then go back inside probably to lick its wounds after being humiliated by a cat.

Edit : Yea yaps away at night whenever there is any sort of noise. To be fair it doesnt yap as much at night but when it does it is annoying.

Have you tried talking to the owner?

Even just in passing? Along the lines of "Christ your dog doesn't stop all day! Have you noticed it??" - After the sentence stare deeply at the owner.

Perhaps clench your fist if this has no effect.
