There's universal outrage....

Really? We live in a ****ed world when a footballer has a little nibble of another player and there's so called universal outrage yet every day genuinely horrific things happen and 99% of people don't give a *****.

Football's the world's biggest pantomime and football supporters on the whole have very few morals when it comes to football. Every club going has had a **** play for them at one point and supporters of that club, on the whole don't care about what they get up to as long as they win their team 3 points on the Saturday.

Ha, wow:

Norwegian Richard Helmersen can start splashing the cash thanks to Luis Suarez's apparent bite on Italy's Giorgio Chinellini.

He won £1,600 after backing the Uruguay striker to bite someone at the World Cup at odds of 175-1, and the company has decided to pay out.

"It's really quite surreal," he told TV2. "I was watching the game and when it happened I start to get messages from buddies who knew I'd put money on it. It's quite fun."

like I said I cant decide whats worse..the actual bite or the cheating afterwards to cover it up

seems pretty clear

Certainly does. Damn shame for the tournament, losing one of the stars. Would be surprised at less than a 10 game ban.

Out of interest, was anyone else slightly embarrassed about Chiellini's histrionics after the bite? A big ugly defender rolling around, waving for the physio etc.

I'm not really sure a ban would help him to be honest, he is expressing a child like instinct of frustration that I doubt he can actually control. He needs a bit of help to get past it. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a **** but banning him just delays the inevitable recurrence.

He'd just been bitten on the shoulder in a football game, and from the pictures it wasn't just a nibble, it was quite a bite.

I'd say he was perfectly entitled to react the way he did.

I'd rather be bitten than elbowed in the face, headbutted or suffer a broken leg due to a bad challenge.

It is a horrible show of aggression but the calls for life bans are just ridiculous. It definitely needs a bigger ban than last time though. The 2 year international and 6 month total ban I read above would appear about right from my point of view.

As said above, Liverpool Football Club stuck by him and took a lot of flak for it. I feel pretty sorry for them know. Partly because their valuable asset has just depreciated substantially :p

Oh come on. He was entitled to bring it to the referee's attention, and it probably stung, but the rolling around and waving for medical assistance.... I know that stuff is part of the game, but it's still embarrassing - especially for a big tough fugly defender.

Ban him yes but sack him? Lol. 10 game international will do.

Lol are you having a laugh? A short ban like that, 10 games, 7 games whatever he's had previously, he clearly learns nothing from them and are doing nothing to stop him doing it again

Lifetime international ban and a season long ban at club level. Plus a psychiatric evaluation and any support mentally he needs in the future as he clearly isn't all there in the head. The guy is a disgrace, a genius in terms of ability but that's no excuse for him being an absolute pleb and doing what he does

you'd do the same if someone bit you on the shoulder at the world cup. You wouldn't just be waving play on.

Got the ball.

Slept on this one...trying to think like a neutral I think I'd be looking at a blanket ban but nothing like is being touted. 10 games maybe.

I do think incidents need to be reviewed on a game by game basis. I get tackles are part of the game and would be difficult to review however elbows, headbutts and spitting etc isn't. Elbowing someone to the head can cause so much damage yet players consistently get away with it. Van Persie and Neymar alone this world cup...

Neutral? lol. This is the third time he has done this, the full 24 match ban is the minimum that should be given to this animal.

Here here.

Can't believe all the fuss over this, Seems like everybody & there Dog has come out to have go about something they have no interest in.

In my mind he lost it for a second, Big deal, Ban him for a few matches & get him some Anger Management counselling, JD.

And No I don't support ******** Liverpool. :p

The only problem with that is its been done before, what was the last one? 12 match back and anger management counselling - lot of good that did.

They should hit him where it hurts. Ban him from International football for two years. Ban him from European competitions for the same length seeing that he is constantly moaning about not playing in the champions league.

Anyone think he bit the blokes throat out & drank his blood turned him into a Vampire then killed his family.
Why should the Team/Nation/Supporters be punished ?

You lot are a bunch of Drama Queens & have obviously been wrapped in cotton wool all your lives, Bunch of Jessys. :p
