That was always going to be the case. Barcelona are banned from making any transfers for a while. Well thats going to put a cramp on their squad rebuild.
Nope, you appeal the decision and with good lawyers they will either get the ban overturned or at least delay it until they have bought all the players they want. These punishments are always pointless .
FFP has been the same. Shocking punishment that is either reduced or the team just does what it needs to in order to minimise the impact.
I suppose there is an argument that stupid and reckless which leads to a broken leg is significantly worse than intentional that leads to temporary impressions in the skin.
That would be your boy Sakho being banned as well then.
The way Uruguay are trying to cover it up is pathetic, not enough evidence for bite sanctions?
Is it it in Uruguayan culture to do anything to win no matter what the circumstances?
Mujica, 79, a former guerrilla fighter and political prisoner, added that Fifa should not use television evidence to retrospectively punish players.
"I didn't see him bite anyone and, in football, I was taught that you obey what the referee says," Mujica said.
"If we're going to take decisions in football based on what TV says, then there are loads of penalties and handballs you'd have to give that weren't given, so bad luck."
Mujica said the striker should be judged solely on his football ability and questioned why he should be held up as a behavioural role model.
"We didn't choose him to be a philosopher, or a mechanic, or to have good manners," he said. "He's a great player."
, source on that? They are coming out with some seriously good stuff over there

I find the denial and subsequent defence worse than the actual offence.
Really hope Columbia give them a good pasting.
