Interesting to see we have 83 votes on this but only a handful of people commenting!

I think it's perhaps a little too lenient purely because this is the third such incident of this nature. Naturally Uruguay will want to oppose this promptly as well because they'd be hoping they could keep him for the tournament.

I think I just heard Lineker saying that the Uruguayan FA saying it's too harsh and there's not enough evidence! :eek: How can they say there isn't enough evidence? It's pretty damn obvious he's done it. He was caught on camera!

The only issue is the question of whether the punishment is too severe.

Craziness.

Which with that opinion makes more of a mockery of the Suarez ban than anything. I personally disagree but there you go.

But no one knows if they take these drugs unless they do the tests surely ?

Well maybe other than Super Jack giving 30-40 minute performances :p

Then being mysteriously injured for several months at a time, which is another thing that ****es me off about the Ferdinand situation, they made him a public scapegoat whilst other players are 'injured' to serve their bans.

Which is why Ferdinand was punished so severely despite the confusion created by the FA in the first place.

I don't think the two issues of Drugs and On field discipline are really comparable regarding who should get which punishment tbh.

There are endurance enhancing drugs, but ultimately football isn't a insane endurance sport, I was just saying it's more focused on that than strength. Ultimately skill/team mates/brain/flair come in to it more than physicality. The level of fitness required in football isn't phenomenal. Okay Ronaldo is ridiculously fit, but Xavi, Fabregas, Iniesta. It's a small factor compared to something like running which is almost entirely based on it.

Now this isn't entirely aimed at you bit seriously ppl f off with putting all Liverpool supporters in same category for one not all Liverpool supporters are defending him at all am not I think he got lucky and was expecting more, I'm more interested in seeing what we do from a club point now
 
don't worry about it, scouse fans. there's a good video you can dl of some of his highlights to stop you crying into your chips. it's only 3mb aswell!

FIFA have given Liverpool the best reason ever NOT to do a **** thing.

6 months (of actual playing time) or even a year and Liverpool might have been forced to sell for whatever they can get (~50ish?) so no more media backlash hits them.

I would be surprised now if they dont try and sit it out now - because in all honesty missing x games at the beginning of the season isnt that much more than he missed last season (13/14) and you still finished 2nd with a worse defence than you will probably have for 14/15 season.
 
Had a few Liverpool fans today comparing suarez with the likes of zidane and cantona!

Zidane head butted some player because he made derogatory remarks about his sister/mother, cantona kicked someone for making ethnic slurs..... Suarez bit someone from behind who was running away from him..... Just a like, sure.
