There are endurance enhancing drugs, but ultimately football isn't a insane endurance sport, I was just saying it's more focused on that than strength. Ultimately skill/team mates/brain/flair come in to it more than physicality. The level of fitness required in football isn't phenomenal. Okay Ronaldo is ridiculously fit, but Xavi, Fabregas, Iniesta. It's a small factor compared to something like running which is almost entirely based on it.

Don't be daft, do your research

This whole thing is showing up football as a bit of a joke sport.

Uruguay coach hissy fitting and quitting FIFA, people threatening to sue FIFA, apologists for that ******** moron.

Football really is a horrible sport, absolutely zero morals or decency, doesn't give a **** about its place in the world it just wants more money and if players help achieve that then they will forgive them anything.

Pathetic.

as much as I agree with what you have written there.

This World Cup has been epic so far!

Try not to let the **** detract from that ;)

I can't decide what's bringing more disrepute upon the game - Suarez himself or his legion of apologists/deniers. It's absolutely shameful.

We moan about footballers living in their own bubbles, but that's nothing compared to the complete vacuum of thinking some fans have created for Suarez to disappear into.

I feel more sorry for Liverpool FC who are going to have to shoulder the burden of this ban - financially, politically, and competitively.

The problem then becomes that he starts to actually believe he's done nothing wrong, or worse he's the victim.

FIFPro have come out in defence of Suarez: http://www.fifpro.org/suarez-fair-solution-is-still-possible.html

And the Uruguayan FA keep complaining too. Not that they can do anything about it now, they'll probably be knocked out tomorrow.

I'm not sure if FIFA will change their verdict... probably not?

They are talking about him not being able to work. That's not true, he just can't work in football.

He can volunteer at a charity shop or something :)

It is quite ironic, the apologists are doing the worthless **** more harm than good by saying he didn't do it or it's too harsh.

He did do it, and regardless of club affiliation he clearly doesn't care what he does and he needs to address himself.

People spouting off about how hard done by he is how it's too harsh, how he didn't do it, you aren't helping him you are enabling his disgusting behaviour.

Its a four month ban during which he will be fully paid, their argument holds no water.

The desperate clutching at straws by people is really quite disturbing regarding Suarez, let him take his ban, contemplate on why he is banned and take measures to address his vile behaviour.
