The Uruguayan president has had his say today too. I can't imagine David Cameron coming out with something similar 
He did give the worst excuse possible though, or whoever made it up for him as I doubt he wrote to Fifa, probably the guy who told him he had a buyout clause last year
He did have a buyout clause. Liverpool have admitted they just ignored it. Seems like they got away with it too.
Anyway back back to topic. I'm actually shocked that Suarez is getting so much support. It just goes to show that if you're good enough at something people will make excuses for you. He must be in a bubble where people just constantly tell him how great he is and that the world is against him.

Suarez has finally apologised
He tweeted a statement saying: “After several days of being home with my family, I have had the opportunity to regain my calm and reflect about the reality of what occurred during the Italy-Uruguay match on 24 June 2014.
“Independent from the fallout and the contradicting declarations that have surfaced during these past few days, all of which have been without the intention of interfering with the good performance of national team, the truth is that my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me. For this:
* I deeply regret what occurred.
* I apologise to Giorgio Chiellini and the entire football family.
* I vow to the public that there will never again be another incident like this.

Cleverly worded apology that, been through the PR department and legal team no doubt!
