At the end of the day who cares what Chiellini thinks? His opinion should have no bearing on the sentence anyway.

The fact is Suarez bit someone again, rolled around on the floor pretending to be injured, lied about it and gave stupid excuses. Clearly has no remorse for what he has done. FIFA had to ban him. I think he should have got more taking everything in to account, but at the same time I'm surprised FIFA gave him as much as they did.

Correct context, but I object to the use of it as a means to try and simply categorise, and in a way belittle other views which you might disagree with. Someone is outraged by Suarez?... Oh that's just schadenfreude, that can be dismissed. He can't actually have a point!

FIFA have backtracked and said he will not be barred from training during his suspension:

Suarez was also banned for nine international matches after the incident at the World Cup in Brazil.

The Uruguayan FA had described Fifa's ruling as an "excessive decision" for which "there was not enough evidence".

Suarez can now make a further appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Funny that, Fifa have reduced the SEVERITY of the ban, but not the length.... while the victim appealed to Fifa to reduce.... one part of the ban specifically mentioning how harsh not being able to train with his team would be, but made no mention of the length of the ban at all.... complete coincidence no doubt.
