Ah Gustov jumping in is just what this thread needed, he doesn't let facts stand in the way of his arguments.

He's sticking up for Evra, so why did you say that? :p

I can (sort of) see why Liverpool fans are upset, but they need to be upset with Suarez instead of the FA.

He's admitted saying it (at the hearing as well I suspect) - it isn't acceptable.

Didn't realise Dalglish was on twitter, his tweet on the subject is a little cringe worthy for me. Bet you Liverpool lot will lap it up though :p

Perhaps if you'd read the thread you'll find I haven't said it's a correct or wrong decision, because like everyone else I don't know all the facts. Not that I would expect you to let something like reading the thread get in the way of your argument.

Congrats for putting lots of words into my mouth though *slow clap*

Well perhaps you shouldn't make such a ridiculous post towards myself?

How do you expect me to react when you post this

cut it out
If you want to player the 'literal' game, I never based anything I said on hard facts, I'm speculating, like everyone else in this thread.

No not true.

When Cantona got done for going into the crowd, yes they stood by him. They also fined him and United banned him for four months. The FA Subsequently then increased the ban. Yes that's right I am taking the moral high ground as United did.

.

hardly the same, Cantona's guilt could never be doubted

Well you came into the thread claimed he said something that he didn't say, that's why I was talking about facts ;)

negrito not negro which at worst means "small black man" and in some places much less, if someone calls me a fat, bald man it is a description as that is what I am , just using the word does not make it racist, Evra is a small, black man so even if that was the meaning of the word as it was used how can anyone define the context it was used in

Didn't realise you were so fluent in Spanish and the colloquialisms of Uruguayan Spanish in particular. You learn something new everyday

It's ridiculous how publicly Liverpool have handled this subject and the statements from Liverpool and Dalglish are embarrassing. Just compare it to the United website's take on the matter...

I speculated from journal sources that he called him a negro. (After all that is what The Telegraph tells me)

You're the one who seems to be so certain about what he did and didn't say.

FA Statement said:
An Independent Regulatory Commission has today [Tuesday 20 December 2011] found a charge of misconduct against Luis Suarez proven, and have issued a suspension for a period of eight matches as well as fining him £40,000, pending appeal.

On 16 November 2011, The Football Association charged Luis Suarez with misconduct contrary to FA Rule E3 in relation to the Liverpool FC versus Manchester United FC fixture on 15 October 2011.

A hearing took place from 14-20 December 2011 before an Independent Regulatory Commission of The FA to consider the charge.

The Independent Regulatory Commission announced its decision on 20 December 2011, which is as follows:

Mr Suarez used insulting words towards Mr Evra during the match contrary to FA Rule E3(1);
the insulting words used by Mr Suarez included a reference to Mr Evra's colour within the meaning of Rule E3(2);
Mr Suarez shall be warned as to his future conduct, be suspended for eight matches covering all first team competitive matches and fined the sum of £40,000;
the [penalty] is suspended pending the outcome of any appeal lodged by Mr Suarez against this decision.
The Independent Regulatory Commission will provide written reasons for its decision in due course setting out:

(a) the findings of fact made by it;

(b) the reasons for its decision finding the charge proved; and

(c) the reasons for the penalty.

Mr Suarez has the right to appeal the decision of the Independent Regulatory Commission to an Appeal Board. An appeal must be lodged within 14 days of the date of the written reasons for the decision.

The penalty is suspended until after the outcome of any appeal, or the time for appealing expires, or should Mr Suarez decide not to appeal. The reason for this is to ensure that the penalty does not take effect before any appeal so that Mr Suarez has an effective right of appeal.

It's a good job your manager has never made any embarrassing, cringeworthy statements :p

Didn't Taggart give an interview with the Mirror(?) a few weeks back where he implied Suarez's guilt before any hearing had took place?
