Why are people claiming there is no evidence? There is NO WAY a ban would have been enforced if there was no evidence. (speculation...)

The FA have access to more footage than what you saw on Sky Sports you know!

I also love the way a lot of Liverpool fan's reaction is ZOMG I HATE YOU THE FA, I HOPE TERRY GETS WORSE. So let me get this right? The FA are in the wrong when it comes to racism yet John Terry is just an outright racist? Racism is racism, red or blue.

beacuse it involved racism the FA hadn't got the ******* to clear him

Isn't that what he has claimed to have said?

Suárez admitted calling Evra a “Negro” once but denied it was an insult. He claimed it was in response to being called a “South American” by his opponent. Evra alleged he was racially insulted 10 times by Suárez.

negrito not negro which at worst means "small black man" and in some places much less, if someone calls me a fat, bald man it is a description as that is what I am , just using the word does not make it racist, Evra is a small, black man so even if that was the meaning of the word as it was used how can anyone define the context it was used in

Ah Gustov jumping in is just what this thread needed, he doesn't let facts stand in the way of his arguments.

Huh? So you think the FA made the decision for fun? Their decision has to be justified. They can't make a call this big without having a damn good reason to do so.

None of us have any real insight as to why the FA came to the decision they did, so everything is speculation.

That's unless you have the facts Shamikebab? No? Didn't think so.

It's all debatable. He didn't call him a small black man though did he. He called him a word that defines that. Personally, I see a huge difference.

The term negro / negrito has connotations with slavery which I'm guessing most black people don't take kindly to.

I think they were afraid of the repercussions of clearing him

Perhaps but we don't know? The FA will have analysed a hell of a lot of evidence and are therefore in a much better position to pass judgement on it that both of us. Not to sound like an ass, but I think you're just looking for a silver lining here.

Good that the FA have taken a tough stance on racism, as it should be.

I wonder what the outcome of the Terry incident will be.

Liverpool should have got a linguistics expert like yourself involved then really.

Perhaps if you'd read the thread you'll find I haven't said it's a correct or wrong decision, because like everyone else I don't know all the facts. Not that I would expect you to let something like reading the thread get in the way of your argument.

Congrats for putting lots of words into my mouth though *slow clap*

the mancs are having a go at the club supporting our player, exactly the same as you support Ferguson for doing

No not true.

When Cantona got done for going into the crowd, yes they stood by him. They also fined him and United banned him for four months. The FA Subsequently then increased the ban. Yes that's right I am taking the moral high ground as United did.

I will show my back side in Wollworths window if Liverpool increase or add to his punishment if the Evra's claim is upheld and Liverpool/Suarez claim is dismissed.

Let's also not forget that that FA asked both clubs not to inflame the situation before the findings yet 'King Kenny' Couldn't resist getting a few pre-emptive strikes in could he.

Football fans need to be careful what they wish for. All too quick to call the FA incompetent yet when the show a hard line then it's dismissed as as the folly of a madman, without foundation and obvious bias as they take one words player over another.
