Or you know, he may have actually said it, and Evra was upset so ruthlessly pursued this and they could see that? It's not something to be taken lightly.

Suarez *facepalm* a racist now too, thought he'd try to keep his head down when he came to England. As others have said, Terry has to get the same punishment. Although 8 games really isn't enough for racism, no where near

Has there been bans for racism in other countries? I have no idea what the precedent is really. Usually it seems to be against fans rather than a specific player.

so what your saying is because it's a term of endearment in his country(negrito) it's ok for him to say it over here to a black person,what would you expect if you said that to a black person where you work?my guess is you would be sacked on the spot.
He has already said himself that's what he said to evra (by the way I support Newcastle not man usa)

Suarez admitted he used the term Negrito did he not? I imagine that is what the ban is based on.

No, we are assuming (Liverpool fans hoping) that the findings come out with words to the effect

'Yep we received a complaint from this Evra chap that somebody racially abused him, so with no other evidence whatsoever, we think it's right that Suarez gets an 8 game ban. Book closed. NEXT !!!!!!!!!!' Get a grip BaZ

Why this stinks is that Liverpool fans are saying the ban is wrong as it is Evra's word against Suarez. ITS NOT !!! Suarez has admitted he used it but didn't think it was racist. So not only did the commission find him guilty, he kicked the stool from underneath his own legs as the noose was being tightened by admitting he said it.

Sorry, I thought you based your post on facts but it seems it's based on newspaper reports. That explains a lot.

As I said, the only evidence against him that we know of is the accusation by Evra. Who knows whether there is any other evidence (the Liverpool statement would suggest there's no solid evidence against him). Without knowing if there is any evidence against him and what it might be, to say Liverpool should just accept the decision and move on is ridiculous.

Love the way when the mancs get a decision against them they are all up in arms about the FA being incompetent but when it's Liverpool the FA are absolutely spot on, it's almost hilarious

...but you keep saying 'that we know' but we don't and taking LFC as fact is wrong too...if he admitted it to the commission then thats what the ban will be for, people really think this whole thing is 1 word against another? I somehow don't think so.

We'll all have to wait to see what their statement is and how they came to this conclusion.

Maybe. I don't know and neither (I assume) does anybody else on this forum.

It should also be pointed out that the same newspaper reports that claim Suarez called Evra "Negrito" (which is reported as fact by Loki and others), also reported that Evra accused the ref of only booking him because he's black and also some "South American" comment.

In fact if anything it's the Liverpool fans that are being ridiculous, accusing the FA of charging him simply because he's a Liverpool player and the like....but I guess I'm not surprised you didn't point that out am I

Evra should get a 1-2 match ban for asking the ref if it's because he is black comment,I'm sure old whiskey nose would have something to say about that though.sometimes man usa and Liverpool fans are as bad as each other!
