How is this any different to kosher produce stores? Pretty much the same principle and nobody seems to have much of an issue with them.

get the nuclear sub from dominoes.

subway sucks, the meat is all cold and processed and they are slim on ingredients. I would rather go to a sandwich shop.

I have absolutely no problem with muslims eating their halal stuff, it's just when there is no choice of KFC/Pizza Hut/Subway left for bacon eaters, it's a bit of a joke.

Newham had the second largest percentage of Muslims in England and Wales, and the fourth lowest percentage of Christians. Almost a quarter (24%) of Newham residents stated their religion as Muslim and just under a half stated their religion as Christian.

So why if there's only 24% who eat halal are 100% of the above fast food joints halal?

All these bloody foreigners! Every restaurant, cafe and fast-food chain in the UK should only sell bangers n' mash or shepherds pie served with cold anemic tea. None of this foreign rubbish like pizzas, burgers, curries, chinese or kebabs served with wine, coke, foreign beer or coffee.

Good proper British food, boiled potatoes, mushy peas and bubble n squeak.

Same, if the ethnic minority is only 18% in Bradford why is over 70% of the franchises Halal? Someone must have their figures mixed up!

Oh and i didnt even know Dominos did subs? I may have to get onto that!

I dunno what subways you guys who are complaining to go but mine have never been slim on ingredients or plain in any way. Always completely packed and delicious.

I think it's where boroughs are big, and the percentage across the whole borough is diluted. I think they should measure ethnicity on a ward level to give a more accurate representation.

You are missing the point, they are not selling British food, they are not selling meat that is stunned and killed humanly and wont sell bacon.

Its down to religious reason, which has no place in British society.

The only reason they don't want bacon cooked anywhere near the halal places is that bacon smells delicious when cooking and they would feel compelled to give up their religion and eat a bacon sandwich while discussing politics with their wives while taking them to the job centre to find them a job modelling provocative clothing.

I mean it's an absolute disgrace, them buying a franchise, investing the money and opening a store, then selling things that they and presumably their customers want.

Whatever is the world coming to when people are starting up their own businesses and operating within the law, but not selling everything you want.

It shouldn't be allowed.

There is nothing wrong with that, however having to go out of your way to have a non-halal subway is not right.

They should be going out of their way to have halal because halal is traditional of muslim countries.

If you went to a muslim country and wanted something non-halal you would have a hard time doing it.

Yet halal subways seem to outweight non halal in a non muslim country. There's something not right, unless of course the demographic of Subway customers is heavily occupied with muslim customers.
