sum up 2010

Start of 2010 I had the Fiesta MOT'd, which cost £120 to pass it as it needed new rear bushes & a CV boot.

In May I px'ed the Fiesta for my Focus, I don't really regret px'ing the Fiesta really as I really fancied something bigger and more interesting to drive. (though I still do see the Fiesta fairly often as the new owner only lives up the road from where I work lol)

In July the Focus developed a misfire while driving so I had to drive back home again and it turned out to be the coil pack that went, ordered a new one and 2 days later I was happily driving the Focus again.

That just about sums up 2010 for motoring for me. A job that I really need to get done on the Focus at the start of next year is the rear disks (which I have already got, just not had the funds to get the garage to do them).

my MOT was "free" and part of my service plan. (so i guess the cost was hidden in the service cost.) Still, it was at most £30?
 
I pay about £50 but they adjust and check everything prior to make sure it passes first time with no hassle, unless they spot a major issue that needs expensive parts or labor.

It's what I'm used to paying and a service I'm used to getting. It's a garage I only trust to work on my cars round here (and it's over 10 miles away) so getting MOT in place x for ~£20 less = potential fannying about with failures on a 15 year old car instead of getting it all done in the same place (I always have the car serviced at the same time for convenience) and only having to drop it off and collect it once.
 
started year with a 1.3 Swift, Traded it in and got a slightly older Swift sport, Long weekend in the lakes and Heartside cafe blast later, Loads of fun on B-roads but lacking grunt.

Enjoyable yet pretty un-eventful year of driving really.

Next year will start to test drive possible replacements.
 
Started with a porsche and should hopefully end the year with it intact.
No service this year and costs so far are £600 for a set of rear tyres.

Started with a civic diesel, changed that for a freelander(for towing) in june.
September had license taken off me due to medical reasons.
My car and wifes car replaced with a new civic auto for her to drive.
"if" I can get my license back, going to look for a small fun auto for me.
