Sum up your team's season!

Aston Villa - Finished 6th

Next Season Prediction 6th-8th

Can only be happy with the progression made under MON, having not spent a vast sum. MON needs to invest in quality numbers, especially if we progress through the inter-toto into the UEFA cup.

It's imperitive Barry stays - as I've always maintained, he's a superb player for us - the likes of Sidwell, who has been touted as a potential replacement isn't fit enough to clean his boots - we need a right back, that's for sure, and would like to see a quality keeper, as Carson is, in my opinion, not good enough for the £10m price tag.

Next season, the likes of Spurs, Man City and Newcastle will make concerted efforts to get 5th/6th, hence will be harder than this season, in my opinion - we missed the best chance we will get for 5th this time round.

Prediction: 4th

Reality: 5th

Although for a club like Everton it's hard to be disappointed with 5th place, given the position we were in mid-season 4th place would have been very realistic if we hadn't gone off the boil. Had a poor second half to the season due to injuries to key players. Looking forward to cash being spent this summer.

Blackburn Rovers
Hoped for 6th
Got 7th

Good season again for us, can't grumble with the resources our manager has available. One or two players have played under par and this has hurt us at times. Pederson just isn't doing it at the moment and we miss his goals when he's off form. Samba looked like the buy of the season, but his form dipped towards the end of the season. Likewise with Nelson, he hasn't been the same since his injury. Hopefully these three will have a good rest and find some form for next season.

Bentley has been great this season up until the last five or so games. Looks like his head has been turned and he's off, although Hughes is known to be stubborn and has said he'll stick him in the reserves. Personally i would take the money and trust Hughes to spend it wisely.

Slighty disappointed but considering how far we were behind last year, we've certainly progressed. Fantastic start to the season, which got a few people over excited, but too many draws in and around Christmas cut short any hopes of winning the league. Done very little in the domestic cups which im not overly fussed about but another great showing in the CL.

I think we done a great job in the transfer market this season; Benayoun's done all that was expected of him plus a bit more towards the back end of the season, Lucas looks a real prospect, Babel's shown glimpses of magic and i fully expect him to come on a lot next season, and finally Torres who's possibly been the form striker in the world this season. Oh and Skrtel who's been our best cb since he's joined and i wouldn't be suprised if Carra moves to rb next season with Skrtel and Agger at cb.

With Reina, Skrtel, Carra, Agger, Masch, Alonso (possibly), Gerrard, Babel and Torres we've got a great base and just need to add a couple more top players (especially up front as we've been lacking without Gerrard and Torres) and hopefully we'll be real challengers next season.

Next season's predicition: 2nd

Team - Southampton
Prediction - Playoffs/Promotion
Actual - 20th

after an unbelievable previous season where we just missed out on promotion we decide to sell all our good players oh wait it gets better as we result we sign "ALAN BENNETT" on loan for 6 months he played crap, as things moved on an embarressing elimination from the league cup and we never found our form in the league.

the positives from the season was pur FA cup run which ended in the 1/4 finals to Bristol, and Nigel Pearson. Pearson did a great job managing us in the final part of the season and fully deserves to keep his job.

the boardroom however is utter shambles by the end of the week Rupert Lowe and co are going to be back in charge fair enough he expanded the club and made some good business decisions but once he did that he stopped and settled for medicore club by refusing to invest more into the team.

so other than our amazing youth talent ( Andrew Surman, Nathan Dyer, Adam Lallana et al) and nigel pearson not much good has come this year hopefully the new board will keep pearson on board as he knows this devision and can work his magic hopefully for promotion and we dont sell of our amazing talent then we have a chance

overall 3/10

A frustrating, disappointing, mess of a season with a couple of highlights. Finished 9th last season and had high hopes of carrying on in the same vein. But after having our ground flooded during the summer, a falied takeover, ex-chairman launching a scathing attack on some fans. Boardroom bustups and legal action being taken against some fans, i still don't think owls fans could have predicted our season.

6 straight defeats to start, most of 1st team getting injured and having to bring in a lot of loanees to cover. Being in or near the bottom 3 all season i think we were expecting to be relegated. The highlights were the beating Sheff Utd at home and a good draw at their place, and a fantastic end of season game to keeps us in the championship. But with no takeover in sight, rising ticket prices and no money for players, it looks like it could be another bad season next year. But i'll still be there supporting my team because i'm a fan, or a mug not decided which yet.

Next season - God knows. :(

Prediction - 17th

Position - 19th :(

5/10

Had a good stab at it, just fell at the last hurdle, should have beat Fulham, wimped out tho.

Getting rid of Bruce in a way was a good thing, in a way a bad thing, overall could have been worse, McFadder is a good buy if he dont go, Zarate is awesome, but will leave, as will Kapo :( Quedruere or whoever is -5/10, crap, get rid of him please.

Next season prediction

1st :)

I'm also an honorary fulham fan so had the best ending you can ever get really when you are there. Also hoping for UEFA cup glory with Fulham next year for getting the fair play award.

Just hope they can make it 8 seasons in the premiership. :D

This season has panned out for me how I expected it. I wanted to see us have some good cup runs which have eluded us for far too long. I particularly wanted us to do well in the UEFA cup to prove to me that Moyes could cope with European football. He passed this test with flying colours. A great run in the UEFA cup which we were very unlucky to go out on pens to Fiorentina and I cant help but think it should have been us lifting that trophy tonight. Carling cup run was great also reaching the semi's but the game fell at a time that was no good for us with some of our top performers at the African nations. Finishing 5th in the league 5 points clear of 6th is a good reward on what could have been a great season. Moyes bought fantastically well again and has got us playing some really attractive football. The first 45 minutes against Arsenal at Goodison is the best we have played for 20 years. If we could stretch that to 90 minutes and 38 games there is no reason why we could not be within the top 4.

Next season our priority is beginning to beat the top 4 teams which we didn't do all season. In David Moyes we have one of the best managers around and the board needs to back him. If this happens great times cold well be ahead for our great club once more.

Was hopeful at start of season, got a decent run going but then all the trouble started and the team did a nose dive. Was a completely appauling state of affairs on and off the pitch. Good start, get the mess sorted next season and we definately wont be far off the pace.

Torres simply outstanding.
Barry? No thanks, Lucas is coming along nicely, rather we keep giving him his games, providing he hits the gym over summer.
Babel - well... mixed feelings, I think hes great, but should he be given a more forward role? Hes useless at tracking back. He needs to get in the gym over summer too. If he gets put further forward it means we would need 2 wingers, or 1 new 1 and more field time for pennant or benayoun.
OR preferably I would like to see gerrard CMF instead of in the hole, Lucas&Masch(assuming alonso has gone) as holding midfield, a new forward/wingforward brought in to work as a 3prong with babel & Torres, for home games atleast, so we could decimate a team in the early stages and go into cruise control mode with 2 goals to the good.

Skrtel has been great recently, I agree with baz and think hes going to be the regular CB, we did cope quite well with aggers injurys tbh, Lets not forget the fact our defense has been awful this season due to the fact Finnan has been AWOL and Hyypias getting on.
We desperately need another fullback, Arb and finnan have been awful. Riise is riise. Carraghers not concistently menacing going forward, and aurellio is ok.. but hes injury prone and theres better available.

Summary : New forward & winger preferably, NO to barry, fullbacks needed.
Good performance concidering all offpitch trouble and injurys in defense.
Gerrard back in centre mid please, Torres needs a wingman.

Offload voro, crouch, carson(for the money) pennant(if we get a better replacement, though i dont mind if he stays) riise, finnan.

Next season's predicition: 3rd/2nd - going down to GD!

Brighton and Hove Albion
Prediction: 10th
Finished: 7th

A season full of 'what ifs' after an abysmal previous season.

What if our team and morale hadn't imploded across xmas
What if we beat Vale at home, Finished the job and Cheltenham and beaten Gillingham away

Until Vale and Swansea, we'd only lost 3 times in the league all season, which was a damn good achievement.

Wilkins sensationally dumped in favour of a returning Micky Adams. We appear to be getting a good spine of a team (Kuipers, Lynch, Elphick, Cox, Forster and Murray) and if we can nab Westlake from Leeds (I hear he wants to sign for us) and Matt Richards from Ipswitch (has been released by them) and if the rumours are true, getting Darren Currie back I'm optimistic.

Charlton Athletic
Prediction: Bookies favourite to win the league.
Finished: 11th

Started the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Scunthorpe and never really got going from that point on. Losing Andy Reid to Sunderland was probably the biggest turning point of the season. We lost all creativity in midfield and the goals dryed up. We had quite a few key injuries and just couldnt string 2 wins together. Very frustrating all in all.

Man U.

Cant remember what i predicted probably second.

Although United did the big double, I am disappointed with the season.
Why?
Because over the course of the season they played in some of the worst matches and put in some of the most gutless and pathetic performances I have ever seen.
Its a testament to the poor state of the football in this country that united were able to win the league with some of the "football" that they vomited out.

What i want from next season is when it looks like its going wrong for someone to actually make some changes.

Poor state of football in this country? The Premier League is the best league in the world, football is terrible all the world over if you mean that.

It's true, at times this season we were shocking, not as bad as Chelsea but they were grinding out the results, Something we forgot to do at times
