Summer Transfer Thread 2019

Apparently a couple of the big Chinese clubs are after Auba and are offering around £80m. Salary wise, they are talking £300k pw. Can’t see Arsenal turning down £80m for a 30 year old. Think of how many shiny new executive boxes that could pay for in Stans new stadium.

All of the above except for Auba I wouldn’t have an issue with them leaving, the sooner the better.
But I have a feeling Auba will be off soon as well. If he is then I hope we get a stupid amount of money for him.

Also heard rumours that Ozil and Emery had a huge bust up after the europa final. Ozil saying to Emery that you are not a coach and Emery has asked for ozil to be put on the market and sold at whatever price we can get for him.
Not sure how true that is but he’s another waste of space that needs to go.
About time you changed your sig mate ;)

I would laugh at Man U paying Pogba 500k a week for walking around the pitch disinterested, but then I remember that we’re still paying Ozil £350k a week :(

Disappointed at Torreira wanting to leave. Wants out after one year because he’s having trouble adjusting to life in England. Was hoping he’d have a bit more about him than that.

How much do you think you could get for him? Take the cash and invest in Rice or similar at West Ham and you're better off.
I’d want £45-50m for him at least. He’s certainly not impossible to replace, but I don’t know if I trust us to do it. We usually end up replacing these players with inferior ones for bargain prices.

Torreria wont be leaving he struggled to adjust in Sampdoria at first also

He said in an interview he was struggling and then media said he wants to leave.

Tierney from celtic to arsenal offered 15 mill rejected meant to be going back with 20

Decent defender got to be better than mustafi anyway
He’s a left back. He won’t be replacing Mustafi.

Who the hell is this brazilian striker arsenal have signed
Another cheap "promising" player from far away, who'll end up spending 3-5 years on loan to some crappy la liga side, with people saying every summer that this will be his year. then finally, he'll disappear off back to Brazil on a free in 5 years or so when everyone finally realises that he was never that good anyway. Don't you remember Wellington Silva?

Spurs are at the beginnings of paying back all their stadium loans while we paid ours off ages ago, and they've still got more money than us to spend.

So depressing being an Arsenal fan at times

Spurs are reportedly trying to ‘hijack’ our Saliba deal. Going to be interesting to see if they can get away with it, we must have the worst record in the top half when it comes to transfers. The likes of wolves, Leicester and Liverpool have really put us to shame in terms of transfers. We can’t scout decent talent and we can’t get rid of players for what they’re worth. It’s going to be a long few years unless we can fluke a top 4 position.
Our club is dying, it really is. Can’t afford any top players, manager seems a bit useless tbh, got an owner fleecing us dry and now our captains gone on strike. It’s no surprise I’ve had three emails in the past fortnight from Arsenal trying to flog me a season ticket. People are deserting. Don’t want to give the club their money any more. Can’t say I blame them tbh.

I'd take him back in a heartbeat. He'd box off everything for us - world class cover in the front 3 and a magician in midfield. I can't see us ever paying £50m+ on a 27 year old attacker though, even if the reports are a 2 year loan deal with the option to buy him.
27’s not old. Anything up to £70m would be a steal for Coutinho.

27 for Liverpool is probably 29 for most other clubs given the tempo we play at. As long as Klopp's at the club I don't think you'll ever see us with attacking players, playing regularly, over the age of 29. To spend big money on somebody that you are only expecting 2-3 prime years out of and will then have little resale value isn't the sort of deal Liverpool you'd expect Liverpool to do.
Maybe in the past when Liverpool were making up the numbers and trying to build, but now they’re top dogs with City. A little tweak like Coutinho could have been worth the extra two points you needed to win the title. That’s worth the transfer fee in itself.

So that’s Fabian Delph confirmed for Everton. That’s a decent signing in my book. Probably got him for a very reasonable fee too.

I don’t think our transfer budget is £40m. The stuff I’m seeing from us makes me think we’ve got a much bigger reserve than the board are letting on. Just a pathetic attempt to try and keep the prices down imo. Looks like Saliba is on the verge of being wrapped up for £27m, Tierney’s still a big possibility, plus there’s some others being rumoured as well like Soares, plus an expensive loan deal for Ceballos. I’ll probably be let down as usual, but something just doesn’t feel right to me about this “£40m transfer budget”

Excellent good news for Charlton re-signing Jonny Williams on a one year deal. He’s an excellent player and could play in the prem imo. Really good news. They need players like that if they have any chance of staying in the championship.

Apparently has dropped his wage massively too. Nice to see a player put football before money.

BBC reporting that th loan deal bringing Ceballos to the Emirates is all agreed. Let’s hope he makes more of an impact than our last Spanish loanee, Suarez.

So far we have brought 1 kid and now 1 loanee. I guess they are squad replacements for Wellbeck and Ramsey.

Still should have enough money for 2 more.
Still going after Zaha apparently. That ones got a 5% chance for me. The only way I can see Palace relenting in their demands is if Zaha starts acting up, and I hate it when a player does that. Would rather not buy him.
