I agree.

Wenger has often spoken about the top four being a trophy in itself, while I think his success is relative, I don't think it's fair to say he's being unsuccessful.

but surely by fair minded individuals (if there are any around here :)) the above has to be balanced by those complete failures in finals where by all intents and purposes trophies should have been won and were not.

(or challanging for the title , and just not "kicking on" , as other teams seem able to)

I like Wenger, even with his tendency (admittedly decreasing recently), to not see anything bad that his team does - even when compared aganst Utd, Chelsea managers etc, but some people want to excuse this Because its Arsenal, which really isnt right.

My god it won't half be funny if Suarez wants a move after those T-shirts, the Clubs backing and Glen (thick ****) Johnson's interview on how Suarez was tricked and McGrath is racist :D

Kenny blind faith will be well repaid :D

Well, it couldnt happen to a nicer a club if he did sling his hook.

I'ts not as if their title hopes will be done any harm if he leaves, because Liverpool dont HAVE any title hopes.

So those Suarez quotes are genuine? Hopefully Liverpool fans will stop giving him so much undue support as it's clear that no matter how much you support him, he will never give the same back. I wonder if he has an agent/a brain, after this mess of a season he should just keep his mouth shut, not talk about where he wants to be playing next

You might want to go look up the context lad

Oh goody, Rosicky has finally put in maybe 2 good performances...... in like the past 4 years so Wenger has given him a new 2 year deal extension(I don't think it was up this summer so that would mean he has 3 years left now). 3 year contract, at a likely increased wage, for a guy that has been rubbish in 9 out of 10 games this season and has a horrific injury record, no one would touch him with a bargepole on the kind of wages/injury record/form he has now so we actually had zero need to tie him to a long term contract.

woooo, that's one less player we can bring in to actually improve the club in the next year or so as his wage would have gotten freed up and a squad place. :( When will Wenger actually get rid of players who barely play, mostly suck when they do, and are insanely injury prone.

Either way he has a new contract now so I predict a year long injury in the next few weeks.

Missed eight games as a direct result of the ban, but all that stuff had been dragging on since the incident (the middle of October), and the fall out has continued since the ban.

I meant that last season he didn't have all of this season's drama hanging over him, but obviously do have to factor in how it was his first six months/he was a January signing, so you have to give them a chance (January signings can look rubbish to begin with... look at how Evra and Vidic turned out, once over the initial dodgy period they had after being signed in a January window).

Yeah Evra & Vidic were brilliant in their first full season.

What was the context? I've seen it reported a few times as him telling French TV -

'I would love to play at the same club as him (Lugano).

'Yes, I could come to Paris, like lots of other clubs. There are lots of big clubs with such a reputation who want to build a strong team and Paris are one of these teams who buy to strengthen their side.'

Is there more to it than that? I haven't seen the full interview or anything (as I can't speak fluent French!)

And there's a few other places I'm sure

Tomas Rosicky signed a new contract according to SSN. No idea how long for although Daily Mail are saying 2 yrs at least.

Hes been playing pretty well lately, scored a couple of times for us in our recent games ie Spurs and AC Milan.

In his past three seasons he has 93 appearances, 6 goals and 9 assists...... 6 goals and 9 assists would be about good enough, for a single season. He was far more shocking in the first leg of the Milan game than he was "good" in the second leg.

First leg, both teams were going for a win, second leg Milan came to not lose by 4, Rosicky still wasn't great.

The season so far he's been mostly annonymous, has 26 appearances, 2 goals and 1 assist, that isn't even remotely close to new two year deal(afaik its an extension so makes it a 3 year deal?) worthy quality.

As I said earlier, we had a chance to let him go or offload him, now we've got a more expensive player who is unlikely to get better options so will be left stopping us getting a better player to fill his spot.

Hmm, I can understand the playing with Lugano bit as support, but I'm not fully convinced. We'll see what happens in the summer I suppose, after all, a matter of weeks ago Wenger said Arshavin was going nowhere and then an hour later he's in Russia.

You'd get good money out of PSG also tbf. We'll see what his mentality is like after a season of being boo'ed relentlessly, can't be fun

He is a completely pointless footballer.
