Although you were comparing Higuain and Defoe not so long ago so who knows.

Hmm until i see something official then ill do a dance:p:D.

From what i read, the only thing holding up the deal was Real and their search for a new manager. Heard Ancelotti is meant to be their next manager and Arsenal are waiting on him to sign/sanction the deal...ill be raging if Ancelotti says no i still want him :(.

Actually forget that, seems like Juve are still interested in him as well :(

Still hearing rumours that we want to sign Rooney :(, i really hope we dont unless he takes a massive pay cut because he isnt worth £250-300k a week. Iirc Usmanov has said to Arsenal and Wenger to get him but seeing as he isnt in charge ie hes not even on the board or something but happens to be our second largest shareholder.

Wenger also seems to be interested in a lad called Jedvej or something, croation under 21 player...never heard of him but hes meant to be highly rated.

I can't see us getting Rooney. Despite our increased transfer and wage budget, we still won't be able to afford him. Wishful thinking :p

Higuain would be a huge signing for Arsenal, can they finally push on and threaten next year? A lot has been made of Mourinho having a good change with Utd and City both having managers not familiar with competing at the top of EPL but Arsneal have got a good chance to move themselves higher as well.

If we follow up the Higuain transfer (IF he comes of course) with a couple of very good signings then I can not see why we can at least make a challenge. United, Chelsea and City all have to deal with a new manager as you have said. Will Moyes be able to handle the pressure? United have a very tough start to next season, if they lose a few of those games, the media and section of teh fans will be getting on his back.

Pellegrini's first season in charge so who knows what he'll do. I imagine Mourinho will turn Chelsea into a very solid, hard to beat team again. With an already good squad I'd put them as favourites.

As long as Arsenal can be there or there abouts around March time I'd be happy :p

LOL mate im always reading something or another about Arsenal on the internet these days:p. Hard to say who to believe about our transfers and Wenger/Arsenal tend to stay tight lipped about our transfers.

Rooney is an interesting one, i say i dont want him but if he came to us on lower wages and not a stupid transfer fee then i have no problem with that. But if we are going to be paying £250-300k a week then i have a huge issue with that because for me??, hes not worth anywhere that much. But who knows, Usmanov is saying get him and im sure he would do very well for us depending on how fit he keeps himself. Also he wants to be the main man at his next club, one of the reasons why he was miffed when RVP came in and took over scoring goals. At Arsenal he would be the main man but like i said i dont want us to kill ourselves getting him financially.

What i do want to see is more deadwood being shipped out, get Fellaini, Williams and another RB and possibly another DM or AM into the squad.
