Exactly, if he wants to wait and see what his options are regarding the new Real manager then he and his father shouldnt be going round and saying he wants a move to another club.

Last i heard was that we are trying to tie up the deal and Real have said he can go but who knows what the real story is regarding Higuain. One thing is for certain, he wont be a bit part player at Arsenal, he will be our main man.

As for Rooney??, i heard Arsenal are going to offer Utd an audacious £20mill for him:p...lets see if Utd even entertain that offer. Personally i dont think Rooney is worth more than £30mill tops so lets see what happens there...again if we are getting Higuain, im not even bothered about Rooney coming or not. If he does then he needs a reality check and realise he isnt worth £300k a week.

I don't even want us to spend £20m on him, would rather give giroud a chance. Who would honestly give him £200k a week even?

With real Madrid, apparently they will be announcing their new manager in next few days...

I think this signing could make or break our summer...who we going to go for if we don't get him? Probably same random guy that remind wenger of one of our previous players from the French league. :(

What will/would Paulinho bring to Spurs?
don't Spurs need more quality depth in midfield? I'm on the fence about Paulinho, he/his agent have been hawking him around Europe a lot for the last few transfer windows. Inter apparently did bite last year but he turned them down which seems a bit odd if he is so desperate to come to Europe. Is he purely mercenary? or angling for a move to Real or Barca?

Rumours that we're trying to offload Henderson and bring in Wanyama. I'd rather keep Henderson to be honest, improved incredibly last season.

What will/would Paulinho bring to Spurs? I dont see why we need him personally. Unless Dembele is going to be pushed up.

goals i hope!

it's clear AVB wants a formation change and i believe we should play a style that attacks the box more, especially with bale now rarely starting on the wing.

Paulinho Dembele and Sandro will be an awesome midfield if we get him.

People seem to think Paulinho is purely an attacking midfielder, but he plays central. Although everyone seems to think we only need a striker, which is somewhat true, we still need another CM which was highlighted last season.

Huddlestone isn't great, parker not the same player as he was, livermore not good enough and carroll still not experienced enough. Hopefully Holtby offers some competition there next year as well

He could already know, couldn't he? It sounds as though Ancelotti has been in line to go to Real for a while, and it's just PSG working out a replacement/probably negotiating compensation/etc. If that's the case, it could already have been discreetly revealed to the club and the player that Higuain isn't in his plans.
Not to mention that if rumours are to be believed, Cavani could be at Real next year, further limiting Higuain's chances of playing.

Cavani has looked ropey as hell in the confederations cup. I certainly wouldn't rely on him as a guaranteed first choice at a club like madrid.

Hasn't that rumor started on twitter, from that 'itk' that gets like 5% right, Duncan wotsit.

MInd you given BR's attempts last summer at trying to force him out it wouldn't surprise me if it's true. I would hope we go for someone better than Wanyama though.

Would like to see the back of Downing, Shelvey and Allen before Henderson so hopefully it's just made up rubbish.

Ditto. Allen isn't going anywhere :( Reading forums & listening to Liverpool centric podcasts and people have hyped him up even more. Apparently he was this messianic figure in the Liverpool midfield 1st 12 games of the season (you know, the ones where we constently got over run in midfield...)

Without wanting us to sell Henderson, where do you guys see him fitting into the side?

Neither Dalglish or Rodgers have played him in a central midfield role (for more than the odd game) and I can't see that changing. That leaves just the 3 positions off the front, which while he done fairly well there last season, you can't help but think that he's lacking goals/creativity to excel in that role. Add Aspas, Alberto and possibly Mkhitaryan to Suarez, Coutinho, Sturridge and Borini and it's difficult to see him getting into the side.

If it comes down to the choice of keeping Henderson as a bit part player, covering 3 or 4 positions or selling him to fund the signing of a powerful DM, which would you choose?

He was far and away our best player for the first few months of the season and the fact that we struggled was despite his performances not because of them. He fell off a cliff around November/December time though.

Along side Lucas, in a CM role. He is the drive, the engine room of the team who can burst from deep into the box (which is did with great effect 2nd half of the season). I think he was our highest scoring midfielder from open play post xmas, he has goals in his game.

Keep him, I don't think its a coincidence our worst performances came when he wasn't playing.

nah, he was average at best for the 1st few games, after that he went downhill, his passing went to **** and play broke down when the ball got to him.

I'm not a fan of Allen at all really, but the first few months he was pretty decent, he looks a useless nervous wreck now when the ball is near him.
