Good ol' football fans. Moyes & co are damned if they do, and damned if they dont.

They come out publicly to a degree saying who one of their targets is, at the risk as it seems to have happened of not getting the target - fans go ape ****.

They keep everything schtum and say nothing, fans go ape ****.

Im sure there will be at least 1 marquee signing, and I dont include Fellaini or Baines in that list.

That's an overreaction, it doesn’t matter what Fabregas said today it's a PR briefed press conference. We must have got some sort nudge from his agent thats he's interested, otherwise we wouldn’t have gone public. Also he declared himself happy at arsenal a month before he moved.

You’ve got to remember when a player says they want to leave they ae asked to put in a transfer request so they forfeit loyalty bonuses and the such. Why would he want to do that when theres 4 weeks for his club to make the decision for him?

And about moyes he’s got a 5 year contract for a reason, we might not win anything next year but he'll be there the season after.

You've also got to remember this is a team who won the league by 11 points last year, we'll sign a minimum of 2 players before the window shuts. Though i wouldnt be surprised if there's a bigger flurry in the last week of the window, i dont see the reason for panic

I thought what the .... then i saw your user name :D

Dempsey and Caulker.. i guess a few more will go by the end. I can't see Huddleston or Parker staying. I guess it's a case of invest now or never which should have the season after we did qualify. My feelings were then, as enjoyable as it was, it was too premature for the club.

Well said..

Now they have change to stabilise, they need consistant players and big goal scorers, the 60M they've spent so far seems to be a great investment. a lot of talent and the potenial of a top-4 finish if they play as well as they can do. :)

Parker and huddlestone are goners, hopefully they'll pick up a starting place in other clubs as they are great midfeilders. :)
 
some sites are already reporting a £50m bid for Baines and Fellani (even though the former was valued at £20m and the latter at £28m)

That would be extortion (and given the bids so far, we wouldnt go in for fellani that high to start with or go from £12m right upto £20m straight away for Baines)

That was because our main opposition had shockers at various points in the season and both had worse managers last season. We have also lost Scholes who steadied the ship. If you think we will win the league with the squad we have at the moment then I think you are deluded.

I don't care that much if we don't retain the title but Moyes is just being a bit of a tit with his transfer dealings. The only thing that made us think we would get Fabregas is that he hadn't come out to deny the rumours and that we had made 2 bids which must have been based on something.

Now every party involved has said its not happening. When he went to Barca that was different. He always wanted to move back there so it was when not if. Thats not the case with United.

If Moyes manages to get a world class CM then I will take it all back but lets see whos available..... ummmm.

True but its been quite funny seeing the Utd fans actually thinking Fabregas would leave Barca to come to them lol.

But at least he has finally come out and put it to bed, well i hope it does and the same goes for Arsenal with their chase of Suarez. Just a momumental waste of time chasing Suarez.

That lovely site that originally put up rumours that Rooney will be going to Newcastle have now said that Arsenal are looking to bid £40mill for Rooney trollololol:p

Still, perhaps bidding about half of his actual value was a bit of a stupid idea to start with?

£50m for Baines and Fellaini though... pass me the gun. :p
