Awww diddums lol...i can barely understand a thing he is saying but then im honest enough to say i have a hard time understanding the scouse accent especially when its so thick.

Try not to take it so personally eh??:p

I'm not scouse, but like any fully functioning adult I can understand 'broad' accents :p

To say the squads poor doesnt reflect where we are, its a lot stronger than it was 2/3 years ago.
.

Three years ago Vidic and Evra particularly where pretty on top of their game (its only been about two years or so that Evra has been relatively poor defensively, although last year offensively he was better). Vidic of course has had~18 months or so of injury give or take.

I will be amazed if Rio and Vidic manage to play 20 games together this coming season , and if they dont make that number it surely implies a lot of chopping or changing of the back four which is never good for anyone's consistancy.

Come hell or high water, I would be tempted to give Rafael, Smalling, Evans and Evra (with DDG behind them ) a run of 5 - 10 games together (even given the top level games Utd have to start). Give the guys who should be able to play consistantly a decent run together , without cherry picking games for Vidic and or Rio to go in/come out every other game (which doesnt help anyone imo).

Two seasons ago was Rooney's stellar year and even Valencia and Nani were pretty good that year too (or was it a year further back for Nani I cant quite recall). Something HAS to be done about Nani in the next month surely, otherwise he will be leaving on a free in 12 months time, even by Jan he will be basically waiting his time until the summer so its really make or break.

RvP is certainly capable of repeating his efforts of last year, but the midfield and wingers have to add their fair share, which Im not sure will happen currently. I know Kagawa is capable of it, and I am crossing my fingers he can be played as a No10 consistantly which should be wonderful to watch.
The rest of the (attacking) midfield is a big ? for me however.

No discredit to DDG at all, but VDS was an astounding keeper too (even in his final year , when he openly admitted to a few big mistakes).

I admit I have gone between two and three seasons back, and Ive concerntrated on only a few players (rather than the squad), but the current squad could easily go either way over the next season or two.

Utd undoubted have the money available to match City's spending (unless the Glazer's have removed 10's of millions on the QT at some point recently, but I dont think they have), and three BIG signings would put the squad really where it should be.......but potentially at the expence of some of the younger players.

One big (CM) signing would make me feel a lot better about the squad, two would be delightful (and I dont count Baines or Fellani as big signings for the record).

Cut out the current chaff, and Utd could definitely accomodate one big signing in CM and possibly two while still giving the youngers a decent amount of runouts to see how they cope and allow them to develope.

edit - rumous about Utd making a bid for Willian from Anzi after the owner wants to slash costs after the disasterous 1st part of the Russian season, but I dont know if there is any truth to etheir.

Well thats mighty good for you isnt it:p. Still amuses me as to why you have taken offence to my earlier comment that i cant understand much of what Carra is saying. Meh anyways i guess ill just have to have the subtitles on when he speaks in future:p

Problem with that is smalling and jones have been played mostly out of centre back position, in midfield or right back. So they will have little clue about being a CB, nor have they played together much as a CB pairing. And those two should be our future cb pairing. However, this constant attack on UTD fans of playing Jones in midfield is clouding the water.

In my view if Carlo Ancelotti or Guardiola had come to UTD neither would look at buying either Fellaini or Baines, and they could have both had the gravitas to say, make a 50million bid for player yx or z. As I;'ve outlined before, Moyes does not have that. He has never bought expensive players or handled them well (rooney).

It's Brendon Rogers syndrome.

Never mentioned Jones to start with (on purpose), and 2ndly he isn't ready for a consistant run at centre half. However I think Smalling is ready (if he can get / stay fit) with the right other 2nd CB with him, he could really step up to the plate as a top level consistant performer.

AS mentioned before, Moyes has never needed to handle Rooney as an "expensive" player prior to a week or two ago so there is no comparison (and apart from anything else both have had different experiences in the intervening ~10 years to make it invalid anyway).

If you are trying to blame Moyes for the current Rooney situation, then imo you are looking in the wrong direction. This is all on Rooney himself, who is being a complete ****.

any happy arsenal fans now gervinho has gone to roma for 8mill ?

Extremely happy here, lost some money on him as iirc we paid about £10mill on him but at least he is gone now. Just a bit surprised that he lasted what?? 2 yrs with us whereas someone like Chamakh who has been with us for a fair while, we just cant get rid of for love or money but seems like he is off to Palace on a season long loan....now we just need to get rid of the other leech, Bender at some point:p

Who the **** is Brendon Rogers. If you're going to be insanely stupid can you at least try and spell some words right

LOL its only one letter he got wrong, but then its from running man so i dont blame you for flipping out:p

That's got to be the business of the summer surely? Arsenal getting actual money for Gervinho? They must be laughing their ***** off.
