Liverpool standing firm on Suarez:

Tony Barrett ‏@TonyBarretTimes
#LFC owner @John_W_Henry today told the national media that Luis Suarez will not be allowed to join Arsenal (or anyone else) this summer.

There's been a lot of scepticism from a section of Liverpool supporters about our owners - mainly because of the last ones - but I've always been impressed with Henry.

I think everyone is happy, not just arsenal fans :)

don't think spurs fans will be, if he'd stayed, would have give em a better chance of 4th :D.

but i guess its not like arsenal will sign a better player to replace him, so no worries.........

even though they made a loss, 8mill is decent considering how poor hes been.

Always backed them to the hilt myself  /cough

They dont make promises they can't keep, Anything Henry says he generally delivers, Gave Kenny a fair few quid to spend as well, not his fault Kenny had a rush of blood to the head with some of the signings, after all he's American and probably couldn't tell how good the players were they were signing so took Kenny and Damian's word on it most likely, and didn't know he was over-paying for rubbish :)

I think the 2 main issues are Ayre & the stadium, neither of which have really been dealt with (stadium I think they are buying up homes around Anfield to expand?).

Liverpool standing firm on Suarez:

Good now i hope Arsenal and Wenger finally let it go. If we do then we have just saved ourselves a whole heap of **** from having Suarez.

Latest rumour ive heard is that we are now looking at Benzema at Real:p.

Looks like a complete knobber but then he is American and probably a cowboy to boot:p...mind you his missus is hot though so at least he has done something right:p

yeah, by all accounts he is seething at arsenal over their shenanigans with him

What shenanigans exactly??, we made 2 bids which were both rejected...if anyone was doing shenanigans then it was Suarez with his constant...i want out, Liverpool are treating me unfairly boo hoo hoo type of rubbish. Perhaps your owners and your manager should put a leash on him and muzzle his mouth too while they are at it:p

Sadly we got caught up in the whole sorry assed affair but now im really hoping Wenger just leaves it alone and concentrates on trying to get other players in, who are not absolute ****s on and off the field.

"Players usually want to win. They want to go, generally in any sport, where they can win. That's why I think this particular episode is misguided. We've won more trophies than Arsenal, but I really don't want to get into that."

Oh John

I've asked you this before iinm, what has Ayre done wrong? A few rumours on forums/twitter (none that I've seen with anything to back them up) has snowballed into Ayre being responsible for anything that goes wrong.

As for the stadium, it's a tricky one. Redeveloping Anfield - providing it could be done to a proper standard - was always the most cost efficient route however we've been told for decades that it wasn't possible. The council wanted a new stadium and have tried to force us down that path but equally the worst thing for the council was us doing nothing at all. It was a waiting game between the club and the council to see who backed down first.

The club aren't actually buying up the houses. The council have announced a regeneration of the area that allows for Liverpool to expand Anfield and it's actually the council that are buying the properties. It's worth noting that although it's very likely that we'll redeveloped Anfield, the club still haven't officially committed to it.

Well, Rodgers and Henry have seemingly walked the walk on the Suarez saga, lets see if they can do the same for the 3-4 first team players they talked about signing a few weeks ago.
