I hope we go for marchisio
You want yet another midfielder to reveal to the press "Im happy where I am and dont want to go anywhere"?

I hope we go for marchisio
David Moyes is considering a bid for Luka Modric now that Manchester United's pursuit of Barcelona's Cesc Fábregas appears over, with the manager a long-term admirer of the Real Madrid playmaker.
With the 27-year-old having been transferred to Real from Tottenham Hotspur for £33m last summer, any initial offer for Modric would have to be in the region of £25m for a midfielder who fell down the pecking order under José Mourinho, who was his coach until the Portuguese rejoined Chelsea in the close season.
Moyes has made the purchase of a top-class goalscoring midfielder his priority this summer and was hopeful that Fábregas could become the first major signing of his tenure. But after the former Arsenal captain publicly stated on Thursday that he wished to remain at Barça, Moyes could now firm up his interest in Modric.
Jay Spearing has just completed his permanent move to Bolton.

Zdravko Mamic and Daniel Levy reportedly met in Dubrovnik (Croatia) to discuss the sale of Alen Halilovic. Apparently the two (Mamic and Levy) were spotted together today in the city. It's the same place they met to do the Modric deal.
Mamic was supposed to board a plane with Dinamo for their match against Sheriff (played Wednesday night), but mysteriously left the airport just before take-off. It is being suggested now that the reason was to meet with Levy.
Missed this earlier. With all the talk about loyalty in football lately, he's one of a very few who's loyalty could never be questioned. If there's ever been somebody that's deserved to make it at Liverpool it was him - he would have quite literally played anywhere just to play for Liverpool. There were times in the reserves where all 4 foot nothing of him would fill in at cb when we were short.
Unfortunately he was never good enough but I hope he does well for himself at Bolton.
In other news Rodgers has denied we're in for Cissokho. That's a surprise.
edit: And it doesn't look like Costa's happening which is a shame, I was looking forward to him throwing spit on Terry.
It looks like I might have to take back every bad word I've had to say about Fat Sam soon. First he takes Cole off our hands, then Carroll and now it looks like Downing's on his way to West Ham too.
.
Good to hear. He's always come across as a decent guy.

Tottenham have taken their spending this summer to beyond £50million, ahead of recouping a potential world record transfer fee of more than £80million for Gareth Bale.
Source: Telegraph
A £9million deal was completed on Friday for Toulouse holding midfielder Étienne Capoue, with the France international undergoing a medical on Friday night and expected to be at Tottenham's final pre-season friendly on Saturday against Espanyol.
Roberto Soldado, the club’s new £26million record signing, is in the squad for today’s match at White Hart Lane but Bale will be conspicuous by his absence as the deadlock continues over his proposed move to Real Madrid.
Spurs are not interested in Real’s suggestion that payments could be stretched over the term of a six-year contract. Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman, did meet Madrid president Florentino Pérez on Tuesday but talks broke down quickly, with Spurs judging that the valuations that Real were placing on their players – striker Álvaro Morata, winger Ángel di María and left-back Fabio Coentrao – were inflated.
Spurs would want at least two of the players discussed should they sell Bale, having decided that simply having money in the bank is of no benefit to them. They also doubt whether Madrid have the money to reach their valuation of Bale, which is around £100million.
The signings this week of Soldado and Capoue, however, do seem to suggest that Tottenham are confident of recouping significant funds in this transfer window.
Despite being unavailable on Saturday for Tottenham, Bale is in the Wales squad for the match against the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday.
Regardless of which club he plays for next season Bale’s income is expected to increase after it was confirmed that his application to trademark his ‘Eleven of Hearts’ celebration logo has been successful.
The Intellectual Property Office confirmed yesterday that the logo, which includes a No 11 inside a heart shape made of two hands, has been trademarked.
Bale’s advisers have plans to introduce the symbol on to a number of products which will be revealed to the public at a later date.
That could stand to make him up to £3million a year, according to Nigel Currie, director of sports marketing agency BrandRapport.
He said: “The possibilities are huge for Gareth Bale. Once he has that right he can cash in on it and become a more well-known player. A third of his overall income could be made from his image rights, potentially up to £3million a year.”

Chump (or should that be chimp) change.......What was brand Beckhams earnings last year? over 50 million wasn't it?
Spurs better hope all these signings gel quickly
