it's there to be read though, it's a bit sneaky but hey, it's football. i can see the attraction for him to chelsea.

i just hope we seal lamela.

I'm not convinced Chelsea were ever really interested in Rooney. I think it's all just been trying to unsettle Moyes early on, especially so since they play them so early in the season.

We'll see if they make another bid after Monday's game, but I doubt one will be coming.

a more likely possibility is what spurs and liverpool fans concluded about a week ago that he was putting himself in the shop window to the highest bidder. it's no surprise he chose chelsea. higher wages and cl football. end of. there's still the kicker that chelsea don't really need him and it sniffs of weakening any competition buy buying their targets. chelsea have the financial clout to do so and did.

not the end of the world, i'm chuffed with our signings but we are missing creativity. let's try and make the lamela deal work. if not, i'm sure there are other targets ie pjanic and eriksen.

how do you know he's not on higher wages than we offered? considering our wage structure.

These Spurs fans are something else. Chelsea came in like they had every right to and topped Spurs' offer. Not only that but in the last two seasons have won the champions league, the Europa league and are currently in the champions league. They have unlimited resources and one of the best squads in Europe.

But of course it was so Spurs couldn't strengthen and Willian moved for the money.

Do Liverpool need him though ? If not they should let another club sign him, its only fair.

Don't know a lot about him to be honest but highly rated by people that do. We could do with a bit more quality out wide so it would make sense.
 
How ****ed will Spurs fans be when Roma's owner - also a shareholder in Liverpool - pulls the plug on the Lamela deal, sells him to Liverpool on the cheap and we sign Mata on loan too?

But one playmaker Mourinho insisted would be going nowhere is Juan Mata. Reports in Friday's newspapers said the Spain midfielder, 25, could be offered to Manchester United as part of a bid to sign striker Wayne Rooney.

Has a nice daydream about Mata and Ozil joining Utd and then adding Fellani and Baines for good measure (and forget about Di Maria)

Utd wouldn't be too shabby then (although I know its only a dream) :D
