i wouldn't want lennon to be sold but his first team chances will now be limited but he's an ideal sub to bring on after 70 mins as he's still very quick over short distance and is ideal for terrorising a tiered left back.

i think sig has a great attitude and this has impressed AVB but i can't escape the fact that a lot of play has broken down in games when he's got the ball but he can still come up with a killer pass and is always good for a crucial goal (like the equaliser against chelsea)

one area of concern with bale going (well, one of many) is who is going to be our free kick taker? sig has tried and had a few decent efforts but bale had mastered it.
 
I've been quite impressed with Townsed from what I have seen in the last 18 months. No world beater, but looks like a solid premiership winger. Could be a breakthrough season for him.
 
Is Eriksen the 2nd coming of Christ now he looks to be signing for the spuds? Despite continually being over looked by the likes of Liverpool, Barca, Milan et all after they had scouted him extensively?

I know, listengin Radio 5 and they are signing him would be more a coup than all the signings Spurs has done this summer ?!

it would appear so atm but it's early days. if townsend starts against arsenal, it will be a real test to see what townsend has to offer. he has already said he wants to be the ''next gareth bale'' (he's 2 years younger than bale, may be closer to 18 months) and it's a heck of a statement so let's see if he delivers. i'm not so sure he's got the mineral's to be a star against serious competition.

I'd be surprised if 5head was in the Prem come the end of the season. He was woeful for Leeds. It would need to be an about turn of Bale proportions because he was even worse than Bale before.
 
Well when you rock up thinking you're a world beater and turn out to not be good enough to get a start you have problems :)

I'm still finding it incredibly odd that every big club that'd been after him for years went totally off him and didn't even place a bid at £11million, Spurs have got him without anyone else sticking their oar in and he's been clearly for sale since the start of the window.

Something must have thrown everyone off because there was so much hype to the major clubs it was silly and now just nothing.

In the end they could buy an unknown from Brazil for 30m and it would lift the spirits of the camp after losing their team to RM ;)

There's going to be so much pressure on Lamela to perform.
