Discussing Arsenal vs Spurs signings this summer, on final score. Arsenal will be beaten by Spurs this season tbh.

Based on the signings, squad and how close spurs has done last few seasons, I agree. However, a big however, is that spurs fans have been saying they will end up above arsenal for a while now, when Henry left, when Fabregas left, when RVP left. And it had never happened, they are too inconsistent enough over the course of the season. They would beat Arsenal at home but then lose to Sunderland away a week after.

I hope they do win it, I am even considering putting £10 at the bookies on it.

Not sure it would, FA would know that there is little time left so more than likely process it quicker? I mean none of the three would play for us tomorrow realistically so would be able to watch and we could probably announce it they just couldn't play till the game after

My comment was in reference to you stating Moses would be registered to play tomorrow even though the medical hasnt even been completed yet.:)

As a by the by, I doubt the FA have all the registrations actually in place before midnight of the 2nd, they just dont accept further submissions beyond this point.

Edit reports are trickling in that Utd think €36m is too much for Herrera ( and he has travelled to the Madrid game). Looks like its Fellani or no-one

So annoying seeing spurs sign players LFC should be fighting them for. Yet we sit quietly.

Liverpool are in a strange predicament. It's difficult because they should be what is considered a "big club", but they're stuck in a slump of mediocrity at the moment. They're not prepared to spend big and they're not attracting the good players in other ways.

Starting to get frustrated with my club at the moment.

Uninspired managerial selection

Penny pinching/dawdling with transfers

Our style of football has been pathetic for a few seasons.

Average squad, with average players in the starting 11 who wouldn't see the bench of other 'big' clubs, they wouldn't even make the starting eleven of Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool or even Swansea (IMO).

It's just embaressing when you look at every other 'top' team in Europe and compare the squads. The only players that would get in to any of the clubs would be; RVP, Rooney, Kagawa, Rafael and De Gea.

I think you might be going overboard just a little there. We have a very good squad, it could just be a lot better. Ferdinand and Vidic are still top quality and Evans was brilliant at times last year. Carrick is very good in his role and when Nani is on form he is top class.

We just need a few additions and I think we will take the league again this season. City have looked no better if not a little worse under Pellegrini so far and Chelsea are hardly setting the world alight.

I am just frustrated that we are sitting in a position that most teams would kill to be in and yet we don't do what is necessary to take the team to the next level and what is required to compete in Europe.

This would be a good year to try and go for the CL with Barca not looking so hot and Bayern looking a shadow of their form of last season. Its always going to be very hard to win the CL but there are no stand outs for me at the moment so we should have a go. The squad is great, the first team is not quite there yet. We have plenty of youth and experience which is good but not quite the flair.

Word is that Herrera doesn't really want a move to United and Bilbao don't need to sell so that might be an end to that transfer whether we meet the buyout or not.

If that's true that we've pulled out of the Herrera deal then that is ******* pathetic.

If the player doesn't want to move then what can you do?

Also the release clause is actually more complex than it seems and will end up us paying a lot more than what it is.

It isn't as straight forward as people think but yet again it's another thing for people to enjoy jumping into I suppose.

There are a few claims that the tax will take it up to €56million or so.

Oh misunderstanding then I didn't mean he is playing tomorow I meant his medical could be done tomorow

I meant if we won't meet the clause rather than him wanting or not wanting to move.

You say people are jumping on things, do you think the way we've handled this transfer window is good? We look like a sunday league team, not the premier league champions. Everyone around us is picking up players from all over the world while we're making stupid bids for players that are never going to want to move or struggling to buy players from mid table teams that no-one else is even going for! Unless something really surprising happens anyone that comes in now is going to be desperation (either the players or the amount we pay)

(It was on Twitter, it must be true.)

Somone said if we hit herreras release clause we have to pay the tax taking the deal to 55 million euroes but that might be a lie .

Looks like we might see ANDERSON featuring this season.
