Summer Transfer Window 2017/18 - Rumours & Signings

Yea it is. so a rival like city dont have him now.

Also if we get top 4 thats the sanchez funds paid for itself mate
But Sanchez did not help us get top 4 last year, if we get it, will he be the difference I wonder? I would have sold him. I wonder if city would have not paid more.

So, we was meant to get rid of a bunch of fringe players, who did we get rid of in the end? Just the Ox

Campbell back on loan again, Perez on loan, why did we ever buy this guys?

I read a few days ago that he's a complete nightmare. He didn't turn up to training at City most of this month and frequently didn't offer any explanation as to why he was absent. Plus he has moved to Dortmund because he was unhappy, at age 17, that he hadn't had a first team opportunity at City

Indeed, disgraceful behaviour for any pro but a lad who has never had a first team appearance? His arrogance must be through the roof.

That makes no sense at all  City or any other team can have him for free next year. So ultimately we lose out because we don't get a single penny for him unless he signs a new contract and we sell him.

We won't be getting top 4 this season either.

The important part for Wenger is that we got two new players one for free and he sold enough to make a profit.

Even Watford spent more than us on players lol

Arguably the bigger premier league teams dont actually need the money. Arsenal certainly dont really need the money.

Whats worth more, 40 mill now and losing your best player or another year with your best player and a top four challenge.

I think PSG must be pretty happy and Monaco to. Okay they've been taken to pieces but also been paid absolutely silly money for multiple players, with who PSG were buying without Mbappe, the chances of Monaco beating them in the league anyway was likely pretty low, so they've made a mint and set the team up for a very long time financially. They also set themselves up as Arsenal used to be, the go to destination for up and coming players where people trust the coaching and trust the club to give the best younger players a chance early and make a name for themselves. They'll have no trouble signing 10 more potential Mbappe's who all believe Monaco might be their best chance to make it. Whoever is scouting there is also doing a fantastic job, their coaching work is fantastic and whoever is making their deals is doing a great job.
.
How did Monaco do well, they sold all theirs stars for ridiculous amounts of money but that wouldn't impress the fans. They also won the league by about 15 Pts, so why would they have not competed against PSG? Even with PSGs signings they would have still put up a good fight if they never sold anyone.

If Arsenal won the league then sold all theirs best players the following year you would be ripping Wenger apart. Bit inconsistent with your views.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (£40m), Wojciech Szczesny (£13.5m), Gabriel (£10m) and Kieran Gibbs (£7m)

Campbell and Perez on loan.

True I suppose.

I personally don't think we will get top 4 with or without Sanchez. It's blatantly obvious he does not want to play for us anymore. But who knows he may give us a stellar season and help us get back into the top 4, if he does then great but I can't see it.

It does when he can help us get top 4. thats worth 50m alone.

its about time clubs took a stance over players.

Reports of barcelona going after Ozil as coutinho alternative as the Spanish window shuts tonight. If he leaves id like to see a return to 4-3-3:

---------------- Cech
Bellerin-mustafi-kos-kolsanic
--------------- Coq-----------
-------------------Xhaka--------
------------Ramsey----------
Walcott-----------------Sanchez
------------- Lacazette----------

This makes too much sense. Wenger only does the illogical.

Sanchez was the VERY reason why we didn't get a top 4 place last season.

The mauling we took against Bayern caused him to throw the toys out the pram completely destabilized the team for a good 2-3 months and we went on a losing run. We lost so many points, but only finished 1 point behind Liverpool in the end.

---

go back to the season when Leicester won the league, if it want for Santi's injury we very could have won the league that year.

I would like to see Arsene change our formation. I don't think the wingback system suits us.

What's wrong with the 4321 that was the fashionable formation not long ago.

With the players we have it's the best formation xhaka isn't mobile enough to be the main dm or am but his passing is pretty good so stick him in the middle with the two suggested an he will be good enough. The pace of the front three is good and that would enable quick counterattack football.

rubbish.

he was not the reason we faulted.

It was the other players that flppped big time and showed next to no desire while sanchez was working hard and showed amazing passion throughout the season.

The likes of Viera and Thierry Henry would have reacted even MORE harsher than sanchez.

Sanchez is a born winner and get fustrated if the rest of the team aint pulling there weight. thats not a negetive thing. We need MORE players like Sanchez
