He might fair better in a team that defends deep and likes to counter attack but his lack of speed and technical ability were never going to fair well in a team that plays a high line and likes to play out from the back.11 million

We're not just the best at buying players, we're the best at selling them too. Since Klopp arrived we've sold:11 million
I've never known a player that picked up as many colds as Lovren in the last 2 seasons. He'd have been a decent 4th choice but his inability to stay fit is what killed him for us.Thats if he doesnt have a cold. Always injured or ill that lad.
£40m from Bournemouth for Ibe, Smith and Solanke! Bournemouth getting relegated is a massive kick in the nuts for our transfer plans.I know he has finally scored but I still can't believe that Solanke price.
The list is just players that have been sold tbf. As well as he's gone on to do, he wouldn't have got into our side and was very much surpluss to requirements. £6m for him at the time was a decent fee.Alberto doesn't belong on that list, he's one of the best players in Serie A now
- Benteke - £32m
- Solanke - £19m
- Ings - £20m

We're basically scammers. That's over £360m and with the exception of Coutinho and Ings, none of the players sold would have made our bench from the point they were let go.
- Sergi Canos - £4.5m
- Skrtel - £5.5m
- Ibe - £15m
- Allen - £13m
- Brad Smith - £6m
- Benteke - £32m
- Luis Alberto - £6m
- Tiago Ilori - £3.75m
- Andre Wisdom - £4.5m
- Lucas - £5m
- Kevin Stewart - £8m
- Sakho - £26m
- Coutinho - £142m
- Danny Ward - £12.5m
- Klavan - £2m
- Solanke - £19m
- Camacho - £7m
- Ings - £20m
- Mignolet - £8.2m
- Ryan Kent - £7.5m
- Bobby Duncan - £1.8m
- Alla de Souza - £3.2m
- Lovren - £11m

HAHAHA Gerrards cousin Bobby Duncan. Forgot about him. Did a quick google check to see how hes getting on :
"Bobby Duncan's career is again in limbo with Fiorentina reportedly pleading to FIFA for the chance to offload the former Liverpool forward."
Good move that Bob.
How about 2004, just looking at Leeds on their own never mind the other two sides, they could field a side like this:With Norwich, Bournemouth and probably Villa all done for now, has there every been a season where so many top 4/6 quality players have been relegated? Lewis, Cantwell, Beundia, Aki, Brooks, Mings, McGinn & Grealish all wouldn't look out of place in most PL squads.
Lovren was decent on his day, it's just when he has his off days they are really off and he's a liability.
Problem were when he was 'on it' it tended to be a day when Liverpool didn't have a match, the fact he has a Champions League medal makes me smile nearly as much as it does when I think of Djimi
But to say all that I'd like to wish him all the best in what is left in his career.
