Deffo got this one right.

Minamino €15m + €3m addons to Monaco. Personal terms agreed, just the medical to go.
Didn't want him to go really, always felt he could have done better in league given chances which we didn't give him imo.

However I'm happy he will get to play now and hopefully do well.

Should get honda has his replacement I think

Taki was a decent squad player that proved invaluable in the early rounds of the domestic Cups last season but that's ultimately all he was. Technically he was alright but physically he was lacking - he didn't have the pace to play in the wide forward roles and he was neither big enough or strong enough to play centrally.

Jota's arrival two summers ago demoted him to nothing more than a sub & Cup player but since Diaz joined, even making the bench proved difficult. That was only going to get worse next season with Carvalho's arrival and more minutes for Elliott so a move away was always on the cards. We more than double our money on him and hopefully he'll have a decent career for himself in France.

Arteta perhaps falling into Wenger's trap of collecting too many attacking midfielders/wide forwards:

Saka
Pepe
Vieira
Odegaard
ESR
Martinelli
Marquinhos
Bid for Raphinha (if true)

Not sure how you fit all these boys in the side, I would have thought a Patrick Vieira replacement or striker should still be the priority.

Are you sure you've read it right? I heard that it was a shock €153m deal ;)

Sad to see him go, always thought he had more to offer than he had the opportunity to do, albeit for understandable reasons given our other forwards.

They’ll be looking to get shot of Pepe

Pope to Newcastle for £30m, Ornstein reporting deal agreed in principle
Better than Trex ain't he :p

happy with that deal. Outrageous numbers like 40 to 30million was threw around when the window opened and we got him for 10 tand maybe 2-5m on addons?

We just sold Fredy woodman and Darlow linked to Middlesbrough. So that's a huge reshuffle in the GK department.

Seems like this is being worked on alongside Frenkie de Jong. Good news.

People expecting miracles. A lot of the other clubs transfers would have been worked on for the past season. Most of United are just playing catch up. Poaching players from Ajax seems like the only logical short term solution. We will be going into next season with pretty much the same squad minus the toxic players and I have a sneaky suspicion that Greenwood will be brought back into the fold.

Pope's really underrated. Excellent signing for 10 mill.

Massive improvement behind big Dan Burn. Hopefully a few more on the way this week and things are starting to look really good. Still need a long term plan for right back, someone who can learn from Trippier and to seriously address the striker position. That coupled with another strong CM next to Bruno and the starting 11 is looking very strong.

Pope was never ever going to cost anywhere near 30-40 million. Whoever threw those numbers around was an idiot.

Pope underated? He’s been talked up for years, it will be interesting to see how he performs under the limelight. Also how his distribution is, been pretty easy at Burnley just pumping it long for the past few years.
