The Chelsea/Ronaldo rumours surely aren't true? They've literally just bombed out a centre forward because he cannot contribute to the overall team performance.

I don’t think you can compare the two tbh. Ronaldo scores goals. Lukaku, not so much.

I'm not sure. They're both only useful for scoring goals, neither offer much else other than sulking if they're not in the side.

I’m not sure about Man City’s choice to get rid of both Sterling and Jesus this summer. What happens if Haaland bombs?

Who else they got up top? Grealish, Foden, Haaland, Palmer, Mahrez and Alvarez. maybe they might be a bit short, Halland bound to pick up some niggles in the season.

Grealish has been a let down, Foden is excellent, Haaland is an unknown at present, as is Palmer and Alvarez. Mahrez is excellent but Pep seems to play him from the start sporadically. If anything it’s KDB who is their main threat. I’m just a bit unsure about them this season.

Hardly. Players with attitude problems don’t seem to last 5 minutes with Arteta.

Then they go and sign other players without paying him (and other players) their deferred wages. Bit of a slap in the face.

Completely wrong imo. Clubs should have a transfer embargo when players are owed wages. It’s like your boss telling you he can’t afford to pay you your salary then turning up in a new Mercedes

We’ve given up on any more signings. Lots of smokescreens being thrown up, but as I sad after the Jesus deal, that’s it. Nothing else will happen other than a cheap back up for KT.

I’m kind of annoyed we got rejected, but I’m not too disappointed. He’s just too small and our defence was very good at defending crosses and corners last year.

Juventus apparently want Gabriel for £50m. Where are they getting it from? They’re hundreds of millions in debt too. Why wont FIFA do anything about this?

Are we forgetting how Arsenal got rid of Gunnersaurus just to sign Willian the other year?

On a more serious note, while Barca might be the poster boy for extravagant spending, there are plenty of PL clubs spending what they don't have too. Arsenal for example had over £200m cash in the back and a net transfer debt of £30m odd in 2018, as of their accounts 12 months ago their cash has dropped to £19m and net transfer debt has increased to £100m. They've spent all their cash and are funding these signings with debt. Spurs are another who owe other clubs £100m+ with next to nothing owed to them.

All clubs operate with debt i am aware of that, but there needs to be a ceiling for the clubs own good as well as players and the football world in general. Our £100m debt is a lot different to Barca’s £1.3bn! The only way they’ll get out of that is with a rich Arab.

The players themselves are a bit mental moving there too. There’s some doubt they can even be registered at present and they owe millions in unpaid wages. Surely the warning signs are there.

It must be. I’ll be livid if we sell him for £50m. We lose our best defender while if MDL goes to Chelsea, they gain another top one. It’s bad enough that they’ve got Koulibaly.
