Summer Transfer Window 22/23

And Saliba is back. Thats 4 CB’s. Plus, Tomiyasu can play CB too.

We need cover at LB though.

Football teams are like a car though. You can buy all the best bits, but you still need a good mechanic to put it all together.

By big I assume you mean pl/cl? Realistically there's only been a handful of clubs that can win either over the last 10 years and that number is shrinking. I'm willing to bet we can say the exact same about the likes of Saka (should they stay at arsenal) in 2030.

To be fair the statement probably should have been in the banter thread and not the transfer one.
Got confused with earlier posts I read on here.

But to answer your point, as much as it will sadden me, I fully accept that if Saka gets to 25-26 without any success here, he should move on for the sake of his own career

Breaking news:

Banterchester United have signed a LB. Dutch international player, formerly played in Mick Mouse League in Disney Land. A steal at only £100 million. Social media is awash with rumours of a 5 LB formation; a new Pep Guardiola is in town. A team full of defenders, and Harry Maguire.
My word, that is a **** poor attempt at being funny. I wouldn’t be surprised if Baz prunes it to save your embarrassment.

Please stay away from the jokes.

We are properly hanging this Jesus deal out.

Just announce it and crack on with more signings ffs. Taken all the fun out of it. We could lose out on Tielemans to Utd if reports are to be believed. Just dragging our feet now. The cynic in me says there’s no money left.

What mediocrity?

We have new people running the club in Arnold and Murtough (for the Glazers, admittedly).

We've appointed a highly rated manager with a strong track record, who offers something a bit different.

We're currently pursuing transfer targets for that manager. The main target being one of the most esteemed midfielders in the world. The other targets seem fine to me.

If we don't sign anyone and ETH is a disaster then by all means have a moan, but give them a chance.
Until things actually pick up on the pitch, Utd are still mired in mediocrity. No transfers or new manager will change that until they are doing the business.
