What would be the need to move to Man U? I know there is this pressure for him to win things, but City are the only ones to guarantee that in England. Any other club in England and it's a gamble and I don't see him wanting to burn bridges with Spurs. He can go win a few Bundesliga's but is that better than being the PL all-time top scorer?
Bayern would have a decent chance of winning the Champions League, Bundesliga is a bit meh.
records get broken. Honours don’t
I guess the point is, once Shearer's record is broken he won't be remembered for that either. Kane could break the PL record and win nothing, only for Haaland to hang around at City and within a couple of years of retiring, Kane's record is gone. You say that like anyone remembers Shearer winning the PL, all that is spoken about with him are his goals.
I noticed that, I guess Madders isn't interested in winning anymore trophiesLooks like Spurs getting madders
Wonder if we activate Szoboszlai clause now.
Just go to Saudi instead.Looks like De Gea signed his new contract, and the club have backed out. They've probably realised nobody else will pay him that sort of money, and his recent performances haven't been anything to shout about.
Probably thought he wouldn't entertain the offer and would move on and now he hasn't their plan has backfired.
In all likelihood though I reckon Baz is right. We have had this offer on the table for a while and EtH probably realised after this season that DDG isn't up to snuff and need to be replaced and the club don't want a second choice keeper on £200k/week or whatever he agreed to.
Slightly perplexed by how a contract can be signed and then backed out of.Looks like De Gea signed his new contract, and the club have backed out. They've probably realised nobody else will pay him that sort of money, and his recent performances haven't been anything to shout about.
The article claims Utd didn't sign the contract.Slightly perplexed by how a contract can be signed and then backed out of.
