Summer Transfer Window 23/24

He wont go to Saudi. He will look a complete and utter hypocrite. Despite the clowns phoning into talksport today saying he can bring about change from within, he can't go. He will over take Lewis Hamilton as the world champion virtue signaller if he goes.

I hope Henderson doesn't go but I would in his position.

He's not going to get much game time with Liverpool next season, he's already cemented his place as a club legend and it's absolutely stupid money to turn down.

Set your family and generations worth of relatives up for life.

imo if southgate says sorry but if your in saudi i cant consider you for england then hendo wont go

if southgate says it wont affect your euro chances then he will go

Got a link? Cant see that on his twitter feed? And i refuse to click a dm article, or is it in one of the 15 million gossip pieces the wrap put out daily during silly season?
I'm not sure what you mean about gossip pieces but he was interviewed by the Anfield Wrap yesterday and he said it there. I'm not sure if he reported it any his articles.

I'm not sure how much that would effect his decision. Given his age and the signings we've made, he's not going to be playing regularly enough to still be in the England squad in 12 months. Not without some sort of injury crisis anyway.

The sheer amount of money that's being offered to him has given him a decision to make. I've no doubt he meant the things he said in regards to his support of LGBTQ people but when £100m is put on the table it'll make most people question just how much they really care.

Ahh yeah, i see now, then again the wrap have been retweeting the tap in merchant today where he states terms were agreed yesterday, so I would say the Dom King line is old news personally.

I'm not sure how you've come to that conclusion, King certainly hasn't reported anything different to what he said in that interview that I've seen. Whether he's right or Henderson goes on to make the decision to leave is of course another matter however Romano, who's well known for jumping the gun and dragging out stories with minor 'update' after update, saying something doesn't change what King said.

Because having just listened to a few snippets of the dominic king interview (which was recorded yesterday morning), and it was essentially just going over the article he had written on the 12th...he hasnt come out and verified or denied others saying terms agreed since that article.

And if things had changed from King's point of view, why hasn't come out and reported anything since? It's literally his job to report these things! You claimed everybody says he's agreed the move already however the one journalist closest to him has, as yet, stated that he's not made a decision.

edit: I took the plunge and found King's article from this morning and he still says Henderson is considering the offer. So I assume you think Indy Romano's news from yesterday is old now?

Probably because it would be an exceptionally bad look for the guy that wrote Henderson's autobiography to come out and officially confirm the club captain has said '**** those principles I've been bleating on about for years, I'm off for money anyways, see ya suckers'. it's bad enough that he is entertaining a club with direct ties to Saudi government anyway. **** him.

Ok, you're just digging now. Put the shovel down and go read the article from this morning. Over half of it is reporting groups criticising Henderson over the potential move!

And a genuine question, would you turn down £1m to work in Saudi?

which article?

yes, my morals and principles aren't for sale. Regardless the situations aren't the same, Henderson already has enough money to comfortably live for the rest of his life, multiple times over.

His article from this morning here. He covers the issue re the fee, states Henderson's initial thoughts on the move and how he's now considering it and then the 2nd half of the article covers all the criticism he's getting from LGBTQ groups following his support he's previously shown them.

And I'll take your word for that. I'm sure most people, if they were honest, would seriously consider the offer and while Henderson is very wealthy, the level of the offer on the table stands to set his family up for generations and generations. I sincerely hope he doesn't take the offer, like I do most players, however I can understand why they're considering it.

I guess the difference is I haven't put myself in the front of the line to discuss these regimes and how wrong it all is, to then take the money. So yeah I could take the 1m and no one would know any different. Henderson though....

I'm not sure Henderson has said a word about Saudi before, has he? As far as I know the criticism is to do with his support of LGBTQ groups and comments on inclusivity in football, something which obviously doesn't tie in with the laws in Saudi.
