Super Mario Bros

Can you imagine any serious dialogue associated to that voice, or have to listen to it for nearly 2 hours?

Yeah, I mean I understand people want to hear something close to the game voice but, for a 2hr "Film", thats going to become grating in a very short amount of time. So whilst I know Pratt will get grief from some right now, I really do think it's the better decision overall.

Jack Black… meh. Bowser has never been a comedy character so I’m hoping we don’t have that in this film… I’ll just see ‘Jack Black’.

Honestly that looks good! I have no problems with Chris as the voice actor. Be nice to have a decent animated Mario movie and it looks like they are embracing the source material from the actual games and not making their own twist on it. :)

I have such mixed feelings about the trailer:

The Good:
-It looks amazing, all the character designs and world look authentic to the games.
-Animated well.
-The world building and the suggestion that it'll lead into Mario Galaxy

The Bad:
-Mario's voice, it's like Pratt can't settle on what kind of voice he wants to give Mario and it almost seems to change every scene
-Bumbling, Mario isn't a bumbling goof. He was always brave and knew how to take on the world
-Princess Peach's voice, apparently she's a 20 a day girl now. She needs to lay off the cigarettes
-Girl power Peach, jesus, just lay off the cliches, now she's the same as every other girl in movies without a distinct personality. That isn't Princess Peach

I think it looks fun. No issues with Pratt. Illumination know how to do slapstick/comedy/animation etc. As below;

-Princess Peach's voice, apparently she's a 20 a day girl now. She needs to lay off the cigarettes
All I hear is Anya Taylor-Joy. Not ideal.
