Super Mario Bros

I found something similar but it was more about the language they spoke lol. hence the quote
Yeah I was somewhat confused by him using the Latino turn, and I’m aware of it being used for Italians, but he also used the term people of colour for them as well. Maybe he’s got I dunno a bit of Mexican in him or something, or does he really think Italians aren’t “white”.

I got half way though and turned it off
Your review means nothing if you’ve not actually got any investment (ie paid money) to watch a film. I’m bored of seeing comments like this for films that they’ve half watched, it’s such a pointless contribution.

What a load of rubbish....

Nintendo killing it. This movie is aimed at young people per se, but the old generation that grew up playing it will also love it. All characters are true to form as well and no "woke" (I hate that word) stuff.

This is great to see. So many excuses have been coming out of studios mouth since and during Covid.

Films are loosing money “movie theatres are dead”

Boom No way home

Boom Topgun Maverick

Just put out good movies that people want to see word of mouth will spread and you get bums in seats.

Also is Mexico Latino? I think they are

  • Mexico: Higher ticket sales ($11.4 million) than any full opening weekend of any April animation within this country.

As a Mario fan and a franchise that has been around for most of my life, I've been looking forwards to seeing this film since before it's original due date of 21.12.2022. I then found it it got deferred to April 2023. Any idea why this was?

Anyway, I have booked a ticket to see this tomorrow at my local Odeon, so I will report back afterwards :D

Another note is that it's pretty encouraging from the postings on here about there being no political ("woke") agenda in this film. I don't particularly want politics in a kids film. It should be a film for kids (and us man-children) to escape into for 90 minutes.

Disney: You did well in the 1990s and 2010s. Even stuff as recent as Tangled, Moana and Ralph Breaks the Internet. But you have lost the plot since 2019. Read this and take note!

Took my son to see it at the weekend, I thought it was "OK". A few nice references to the games, but the characters were largely underdeveloped.
I preferred the Sonic movie.

Jack Black was perfect for this role.

Saw it with the family this afternoon - it was everything it needed to be :)

[Edit] post credit scene sets up nicely for the second movie too (there are two scenes fyi)

Not seen the movie but I've listened to that song countless time over the past 2 days.

Jack Black is a treasure, even though he's starting to look like Brain Blessed these days!
Which, tbh, isn't a bad thing. :p
