this thread should probably be left to die or closed by a mod IMO.
it's probably outlived it's value and kinda just getting offensive towards a certain portion of the population by now.
if I was LGBT+ reading this thread probably wouldn't be a very nice experience.
I know I've contributed to the thread but none of my posts were intended to offend, it feels like some peoples responses are not very tactile anymore and peoples sexuality/gender is almost becoming fair game now

For millennia we've been perfectly happy with two sexes.. It's only recently that we've gone out of our way to muddy the waters with dozens of different genders, and even make the sexes changeable.
And again, the people who "transition" then regret it, should be given more consideration by the trans advocates (here and elsewhere).
If every transwoman is a bona fide woman, why do some % of them later decide they were never a woman? Sometimes after already mutilating themselves in a way which cannot be reversed. Particularly tragic, that.
And of course the people who dismiss any suggestion that mental illness may be involved. Why? Because it doesn't suit the narrative.
The whole thing is a crock. For many of us it's perfectly simple.
If your birth cert says male and you find yourself with a perfectly typical male body, you're a bloody male
You can behave how you want, find men or women attractive, that's your call. But it's not really your call to decide you're really a woman in a man's body. If you make that call, don't expect others to go along with it.You're assuming that lesbians and gay people are automatically trans advocates. They aren't. Lumping them all together is a deliberate tactic.

Yes, I get the historical nature of it, but we're supposed to be a progressive species hence we don't hunt for our dinner any more.
I don't know what the difference between sex and gender is, but you're saying it's genital. The doctors, qualified medical practitioners who study the subject to determine the truth, say that's not it. Being blind to the science of it doesn't make you correct! It just makes you ignorant.

That’s why I gave a choice between 2 very clear examples of trans people at either end of the spectrum of gender, rather than generalise. It’s why I said rather than would. You have to pick one in my scenario. In my head, the one who looks more female to me, who wishes to female, is more to my taste, being a super straight guy myself. How ever, there are an awful lot of trans phobes itt claiming they would rather sleep with Buckangel. That to me suggests they are attracted to men over women (or their principals when it comes to gender are so so strong)
I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about.
You know only the tiniest fraction of the population are genuinely intersex. But since you don't have a clue what the difference between gender and sex is, I'm sure that will probably wash right over your head in any case.
Carry on being "progressive" and labelling others as ignorant, despite your self-confessed inability to understand the basics. It's a good look.

You walk into a restaurant to meet this person but don’t know where they are sat, you know they present as a woman and prefer to be called a woman.
Lots of people itt claiming they would describe the person they are meeting to the maitre d’ as “the man with blonde hair” because “akkkkshully” they once had or still do have a penis!!!

What you’re missing is that sex is not binary any more. There are more factors comparing sex than genitalia.
No there isn't, that is where the madness started. Now look where we are.
Nope, sex is binary, apart from a tiny, tiny, tiny number of people who are medically intersex.
Gender is a social construct that is largely "putting people in boxes". I.e. a boy should play football and build tree houses; a girl should be interested in makeup and Barbie dolls.
As a result, you can pretty much have as many genders as you can care about (or not), but there are only two sexes, really.
