Superman: Legacy

imo they should have left superman alone for a few years at least..

They wont, Superman (the earliest iterations at least) enter the public domain in the early 2030's I believe.

Expect them to reboot this if it fails at least twice more, because they'll not succeed the next time either.

They have messed up that many times one more reboot wont make a difference. Its beyond shambolic now. Hopefully it wont come to that but they still have to gain popularity particularly over the Henry Cavill fans.

They lost my cinema visit when they confirmed his return then changed their minds within the space of a few weeks.

I might be a streaming purchase if this movie turns out to be fantastic and gets a lot of praise, but I'm certainly not expecting it to be the case from what I've seen so far. It looks worse than Superman & Louis, which was unexpectedly good but was also ultimately still a teen/family TV show on the CW network.

Oh no... I would almost say it's a fanfic given how much stuff it appears to rip off from.

1. Yamcha pose? Really? The first thing you do for the first trailer, is take Superman out, not in any other fashion, but you leave them with the Yamcha position?
2. David looks wrong sadly for the role. The moment he grabs onto Pa Kent, I can't tell what emotion they're trying to convey. Might be better in film, but for trailer, that ambiguity is not what you want to present.
3. You can tell David can't whistle. It doesn't look like whistling at all. Not only that, but to whistle you really need to have your ability to breath, and not too long ago, they had just been wheezing hard after being trounced by whatever. So it's kinda unbelievable that they can suddently whistle for Krypto. Also, that string of blood from David's lips continues to "not move" whilst Superman is whistling so loudly. We all know Superman defies physics, but if that's the case, maybe that's why David's Superman doesn't look like he's moving when he's flying through the air in his poster?
4. Krypto was nothing special thus far.
5. Superman rushing in to save the girl looked good however. Although it looks to be PIS, as the girl very clearly had this HUGE monster behind them, so unless if they're deaf, they should have known about it behind them and didn't need Superman to save them. And most people with such disabilities are often way more aware of what's going on around them precisely because they know how dangerous it can be for them.
6. Another Superman based actor (Nicholas Hoult) there auditioning to play 007 I see. :D
7. Not sure what's with Superman inside a glass box and needing to break out, Brainiac capture? Or by others? Seems weird, as we do see others there with them in other cages.
8. Obligatory tiny kid raising the Hero standard and asking to be saved - a faux pax by Gunn, you don't bring stuff like this into the Superman movie, because it can only end up in one way story wise and it ends up killing any type of story you can write later on, because Superman absolutely can resolve it unless if they can't. In which case, they're not Superman... Not rocket science.
9. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Remake.
10. No honestly, it is, not only that, some Man of Steel remakes too. Nolan Batman too if my eyes aren't deceiving me. It's literally pulling scenes from all over the place.
11. And of course, Superman's suit throughout the trailer, remains as we thought it would be, mostly tidied up, but still lumpy/bunched up in areas that clearly shouldn't be to show off a Superman physique.

If you were to have told me this was one of those fake Trailers often made, I might have believed you to be honest. That Yamcha pose...

I just saw a guy laying there.

*Googles "Yamcha pose"*

Trailer doing nothing for me, the Man of Steel one hit harder and had the better soundtrack especially for the 'first' flight scene, can tell it's going with a different tone this time around.

But look we get a super dog in this on.

talk about trying too hard..

My thoughts exactly haha

This! That broccoli trim looked like a wig

Other than that, it looks like a CW show with a slightly higher budget.

Looks very meh. Not keen on the actor and I have an irrational hatred of Nicholas Hoult too.

Superdog? WTF?

Looks pish

Why does he flinch when getting hit on the nut with a can? Surely Superman wouldn't even feel that?

looks very boring

One of those trailers where there was loads in it but absolutely nothing at all.

Really felt boring and I'm just left feeling very meh rather than a must go see this in the cinema.

Would have been more intense if they'd just played the score w elec guitar over a black screen (rather then the montage) then have the Superman logo flash up at the end.

Man of Steel is the tone we need now, it was 12 years too soon and this is 12 years too late. We've already been through the lighter Marvel / Guardians of the Galaxy themes.
