Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Decided to go with the following out of my original list:
Glutamine
Pea Protein Isolate
BCAA(Tend to do training fasted sometimes)

Will see how I go without the Zinc and Mag tabs, probably not notice a difference (although I will in the pocket! :D)
 
Power bars out of tesco (energy + protein) are only 15p each atm :-O bought 40 odd of them for £6. They aren't as good for you as other ones but good for sorting out a craving or a boost as a snack for the afternoon :)
 
Pea Protein Isolate from MyProtein, my god is that stuff disgusting, and it doesn't mix for ****, which means i'm going to have to find some protein sources for two days till i get my Impact Whey.

I haven't tried it yet, but its £13 cheaper than MP's unflavoured whey at she same size (will get it from IronScience as MP dont do 5kg of it). I tend to chug it down or mix it with Glutamine, so no matter what.. It doesn't taste 'right' :eek:
 
Yea I've been through 2 tubs of Xtend, very nice. Thought I'd try wraath this time though, the lemonade flavour I have is fine.
 
The taste of the Wraath is awful. I thought I'd give it a try to my normal BCAA's. I can normally stomach most things but I really had to concentrate to get thru my tub.

This however is absolutely divine

iirc, you normally use 10 scoops in 1 bottle, so its not the products fault, it would be like drinking straight diluting juice instead of using water.

i find anything over 1 scoop too "strong". even 1 and a half scoops.
 
Ok I need something pre-workout if possible

I have tried MP Pulse, seemed to work ok at first but ended up having to take a fair 20g of it.

Recently tried All In One Explosion from Iron Science (samples) seemed to work well, a few of them did but not as well as I was expecting.

Any other suggestions welcome :)
 
My suggestions in order of preference:

1. Neurocore (£23 for 50 servings)
2. Superpump Max (£30 for 40 servings)
3. N.O Xplode (£30 for 50 servings)
4. Jack3d (£20 for 40 servings I think?)
5. Pulse (which you've tried :))
 
Little tip for those of us that buy BCAA from MP, use www.oneon.co.uk in the price checker to get 1kg for just over £23 that's £10 cheaper than usual.

Cheers for that, was debating whether to go MP or ironscience (MP dont do 5kg pea protein and I want cheap protein :p) for my next batch, but with discounts like that, it looks like im going with MP again.

Steedie - Do you have a link for that Neurocore? That said, some of the stuff in that looks interesting...need to read up on a couple of terms there ;)
