Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Nice. No harm if your body has excess vit d?
Excess of anything isn't good, the thing is who sets the amounts in the first place? If you ask me the RDA for Vit D is too low.

If you're worried about it then just take one of those capsules every other day. Then that bottle should last you 2 years! :D

In the summer if my skin spends any long amounts of time in the sun I won't use a Vit D supplement.

Has anyone noticed you can get 9kg (10 tubs) of unflavoured here http://www.oneon.co.uk/store/products,whey-protein-max_26.htm for £68

Is that good value? Especially with 10% quidco cashback.
The cheapest whey I've seen is Myprotein but you need to spend £100 to do it.

Price match the 5kg unflavoured whey to bulkpowders @ £37.90
Buy 10kg @ £75.80
Buy 15kg @ £113.70

If going for 10kg you need to spend a further £24.20 on some other supplements you want. One option is to buy Flavdrops for £4.99 and will flavour 5kg-10kg of whey depending how strong you want it.

Apply the code MUSC3 for £20 off

That works out at approx £6.25 per KG of good quality 80% WPC delivered. Which beats even that very good offer (including the 10% Quidco cashback) by at least £0.50 per kilo

If it's your first order from Myprotein you can use my code MP5500 for another 5% off making it even cheaper!!

Who here has tried MP Pulse and Jack3d? I'd just like to know your thoughts on them both as I'm looking for something to give me a kick up the backside as training is getting a lot harder.

Thanks :)

Pulse is ok, as a budget pre workout. I used it for a few months a couple of years back. Jack3d is far better but I find the effects soon wear off as your body gets used too it

Please note this nutritional information is taken from the unflavoured version. When choosing a flavoured version it will reduce the protein content by approximately 3% for most flavours, however chocolate, due to the added cocoa, will reduce it by approximately 8%.

Is that really true or complete BS to get you to drink more and buy more?

Probably true but it's not like it makes a huge difference, couple of grams per serving if that. You could always buy unflavoured and add milkshake powder although that does add quite a bit of sugar.

Btw if you do actually order, do you think you could do me a favour and get a Pulse sample and post it to me? Would be much appreciated i'm trying to find out which pre workout is best to buy :)
