Wouldn't bother posting, it's 99% kids spouting rubbish.

As for the gaspari, it's a muscle pump product, not sure how good a pwo it is mind, but reviews seem decent.

But i find just stick with whey/casein/food and plenty of healthy fats, that covers pretty much all of it.

A lot of supplements just aren't worth the money at all.
 
Hi all, read quite a few pages in this thread now, I was wondering what and where you guys get your protein from, I've been buying the Dolland and Atchinson stuff, then went to a fitness shop and some of the products had 40g+ protein per serving, which kinda surprised me.

Also I've read some of you don't just get whey protein, but protein with AA in?

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but if you could PM me what and where you get your aids from, it would be greatly appreciated.

I used to 'misc' all the time, as for why I stopped, it got boring because of what you've highlighted.

Basically a bunch of lads who lift, or don't lift and stick around for the funnies all spouting the same crap in each thread.

Try myprotein.co.uk, 'impact whey' is cheap for what you get and is good stuff.
 
I have a list of sites that I check in the pricematcher, but I don't have it on my laptop and I've forgotten most of them. I *think* bulk powders and iron science are the two best ones for whey.
 
Finally ran out of Pea protein, so have gone back to MP unflavoured whey. Will let you know if the taste has changed since having it before.
 
Anyone mind explaining why and when you take creatine?

I take it like a multivitamin - i.e. a little twice a day.

Taking creatine simply ensures that your muscles are saturated with phosphocreatine.

When muscles perform work (especially anaerobic work like sprinting and weight lifting), they get the energy from ATP (this has three phosphate groups), which is converted to ADP (with two phosphates).

Phosphocreatine then donates its phosphate to replenish the ATP, ensuring that muscles have a good supply of short-term energy (think seconds, not minutes of energy).

When I had reached the point at which I knew exactly how much I could lift, I started supplementing with creatine and tracked my progress. I found that I could lift approximately 5% more weight.

It's also so cheap and so widely known to increase strength that it's one of the only supplements worth using.
 
What are muscle pump products good for and when is best to use them?

I only ask as I recieved some BioSynergy NO2 Pump for free so I'm thinking of using it soon but don't know when best to take it and the benefits of doing so.

Muscle pumps or pre workout drinks just give you a boost in the gym. Lots on here don't like them and lots do, so you will get different opinions.

I've used Jack3D and No-Explode 2.0.

I have to say No-Explode 2.0 is bloody good, doesn't really give you a 'pump' but not sure why you would want one anyway. Though it does make you work out harder, no doubt about that whatsoever.

Need to order some more supplements soon, are any of the bundles on MP good VFM?

I normally just get some protein, hurricane XS is the one I normally get.

They do the bundles for half price quite often which makes them cracking value. I've had the New Year Bundle for £49.99 and the Size and Strength Bundle (smaller one) for £19.99.

You get a lot for the money with these and if you can use everything in them and it's part of your goals I think they're really good.
