Supplements the debate/discussion thread

I'd throw in creatine too. It's cheap, has lots of good evidence behind it, unlike 95% of all other supplements. Even some of the recent evidence on n-3's and Vit D is looking a little shaky and strange. Whey, creatine and caffeine are the best supplements you can be taking that don't require a syringe.

I just have the unflavoured whey and put a couple of scoops in water. It doesn't taste great, but I literally chug it in 4 seconds and I'm done. I don't like sipping on protein shakes, even if they're flavoured, as that takes away time I could be sipping coffee.

I was probably going to do that as well. It's cheap enough. The vit 5 is cheap enough not to hurt (it's like a tenner for a year's supply or something).

I've just added some thermogenic "Cut and Burn" tablets to my supplementation, has anyone had any good results using anything similar?

I'm not expecting them to work miracles but I'm slowly losing weight through plenty of cardio and a decent diet but do thermogenic tablets really work? Even if it is 1 extra pound for every 10 pound I lose normally I'd be happy.

No, I use them myself in the latter stages of my contest prep as I do believe they can make a difference, an ever so small one, but a difference all the same. But for the average person they probably aren't worth it, but for me, 1lb can make the difference between placing and not, so any help I can get is valuable

Cheats use steroids. Champions use whey products from health companies

...what?

this is how you get shredded

Followers of the K-E diet have a small feeding tube inserted into the nose that administers fat, protein and water to the body and stops them eating for ten days.

So drippy: Jessica Schnaider, 41, lost 10lbs in eight days on the K-E diet which involved inserting a tube in her nose to deliver 800 calories a day
Bit by bit, the solution is deposited into the stomach via the nasogastric tube, delivering 800 calories a day and suppressing the appetite.

Good luck to their blokes (assuming they don't have to fork out for it). I'd rather bang someone a bit lean than a beached whale.

No doubt after their wedding they pile it back on and more though.
