Anybody tried promax from maximuscle before? Thinking of getting some to help lose last bit of weight.

Also could someone recommend me a decent caffeine free fat burner?
I used thermobol years ago to lose 3/4 stone before i joined the army and it helped loads and i used hydroxicut in Iraq to drop my bf but both would blow my head off with caffeine :(

PROMAX
£43.19 908g

WHAT LOL

Don't use maximuscle, it's extremely overpriced. Check out theproteinworks.com which I/FF have mentioned in previous posts here.

No probs.

No shake is going to give you 'weight loss and definition'.

the only shake i would ever use for 'weight loss' would be a basic whey shake, unsweetened with water, to replace food in a low calorie diet.

Adding any shake to a diet will add weight and unless you are carrying significant muscle it is uneccessary to avoid catabolism

Forget the shakes and fatburners and sort your diet out first.

Lost 22 pound last couple months, got a stone or so to go. Doing 5k running and weights 4 times a week and 90 mins swimming twice a week.Calorie intake has been dropped to 1600 - 1800 eating mostly meats and veg.

However in last week or so my weight has stayed the same. But of course could be muscle gain.
Will need to take pictures and measurements to see any subtle changes i
guess.

I know thermobol worked for me years ago but cant handle the caffeine anymore :(

Cheers.

Then just stick with what you're doing, promax is just a lo kcal shake and fatburners don't make any real difference apart from giving you some energy although obviously not if you go for the stim free ones.
You will slow down and stall at times as you get closer to your goal wait but just keep plugging away.

Flutter, that review pretty much sums up my experience from trying craze on saturday, not sure if there was a bit of extra buzz from the fact we had a pretty cool mini meet going on, but I am defiantly going to invest in some at some point in e near future.

Just tried my first pre workout from MyProtein - Pulse v4.

First dose, I used the "beginner" of 8g 30 mins before my workout but had another 8g just before the workout because I didn't feel too much.

Second dose, I used the "experienced" dose of 17g. Felt a bit more from this and a tiny tingle in the face.

Third dose (tonight), I went for 25g and still didn't feel that much from it - maybe a *little* more pump. I only weigh 57kg too.

Somewhat disappointed, but I suspect most of the "oomph" comes from the caffeine, which I'm extremely tolerant of due to the amount of coffee I drink and my genetic profile (fast caffeine metabolism according to the results from 23andme.com).

Might try buying the main ingredients separately and dosing with them individually (e.g. citrulline malate; arginine alpha-ketoglutarate and beta alanine).

Just ordered first batch of stuff from The Protein Works, spoke to one of the directors on twitter was very helpful. Any questions and they get straight back to you, Really impressed so far
