Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Just a couple of exerts from CBL book that may be interesting to read. I'm not saying it's gospel, but it's does suggest they have their uses.

What would be interesting to know is are these comparisons vs someone not taking anything, or vs normal whey. I have a feeling that all the comparisons in the book are comparing against samples where there is no whey ingested after workout for example.

I dont question that some things will be better then other things, but to your hobbiest gym goer (ie me) is the difference that much better then just a bogo normal whey.

The health benefits of isolate look very good. Also hydrolysate looks great for CBL and getting the most from it.

To be entirely fair, there does not appear to be much research supporting the efficacy of whey of any form on gainz in healthy, well-fed (i.e. appropriate, balanced diet) and trained individuals. It's a useful way to bump up overall calories, and convenient for 'eating' after a workout/wahtever, but generally: eat enough in a balanced way, and people shouldn't need it.

If the lifter is older than around 40 years, doesn't have a balanced diet (i.e. is a veggie, for instance) or something like that which prevents them from getting the nutrition they require, then protein intake does a lot to help their growth.

Tried out craze for the first time this morning before I went for a run ( bought it for weight lifting at the gym) but bloody gym is still closed :(

Usually I start struggling after 4/5 miles but today went 10 miles and felt I could have ran another 10. Found myself day dreaming as it felt so easy and the miles just flew by.

Looking forward to trying before gym tomorrow will take 1 scoop and a bit this time.

Ready to go for after my Leg workout tonight :D

How do you even get through that? I get through about 7kg every year. So that would take 5 years to get through your stash
