Anyone ever used USN Hyperbolic Mass? I've ordered some to use as a weight gainer as I definitely need the boost. My diet at the moment isn't helping me as much as it should, and with being seriously ill a month ago, it's really made me have to start from scratch again.

I'm wanting to really get in shape, and make sure I eat to the fullest. With a high metabolism I find it difficult to, with such a busy lifestyle.

Yes I was on it on and off whilst 'gaining' ;), It works but if you want to gain a fuller figure you need to use it as part of a more intense diet.
When I was gaining I was taking that, High fruit/protein shake every day, masses of pasta, rice etc etc.....
together with gyming 4 days a week, its got me to a big size over the year but has given me a little of a tummy issue meaning im now dieting in the other direction to try and resolve it.

Basically what im saying is be careful, the stuffs full of carbs (all USN stuff is) and long term it can create issues.
If your not going to work out with it, DO NOT TAKE, It will **** you up real good.

Also the stuff will mess with your stomach big time, were talking cramps and smells like you have never had in your life.
For the mass stuff they recommend you take 6 scopes a day, its ridiculous and found 2-4 worked well for me. The anabolic stuff they say 3 a day which is still high......

TL;DR. Its like Crack - Use with Caution.

The only clever thing about it is the marketing: it is just protein and carbs in large quantities. Have steak and chips every day for the same (and more pleasant) effect.

Hi guys, just after a bit of advice please!

So i have been going the gym mon - wed - fri for a month now, when's the best time to start using whey?

Some sites say train for 3 months and then start taking it, some say take it straight away, is this good or bad advice?

The best time is when you can't get the amount you need through normal food for whatever reason, what's your diet like at the moment?

Aim for 200-250g of protein per day. How you get it is up to you.

Intake is individual and depends entirely on body mass and to a lesser extent dietary goals (e.g. most people follow 0.8-1g per lb of bodyweight for growth, 1.2-1.5g for cutting). 250g would be excessively high for many people, at least in terms of cals from the budget that could have been spent on fats/carbs.

If i'm really honest, my diet is very poor.

Because i work alternate shifts (6-2/2-10) My eating patterns suck.

When i'm at work for 6am, i won't eat all day until after i go to the gym, because my breaks are too early and it makes me feel sick.

When i'm on 2-10 ill eat poached eggs on toast around 9am, hit the gym at 10am, i will then go without any food until 7pm which is when i have my break, ill either have some fruit or a few tins of tuna, really bad i know.

I only eat once a day, i probably consume 300 calories a day. :(

Just get their Impact Whey. Assuming it's just to top off your protein macros each day you don't need anything more than basic whey.

Yep. Impact whey is the whey forward :p
No need for all these new formulas mixing different types of proteins and then inflating the cost. Myprotein became a big company, not by selling these designer proteins, but by selling simple/basic whey protein..and why, because the simple/basic stuff works.

At the end of the day though, its your money...its your choice.

All very true, but as I don't know the guy and he seems to be new to it, I thought I'd just keep it dead simple. Better to have too much than too little, and don't forget the juicy noob gains!

Then you've got more important issues than which whey protein to buy.

At the moment the supps I take are:

Whey (milk protein isolate) - post workout
ZMA - before bed
Creatine - 5g post workout

I also take a cod liver oil tablet. What do people recommend for 'fish oils'?

Also the reason why I dropped my multivitamin tablet, is to no take too much magnesium/zinc in my diet as I already take ZMA.

Is your normal run of the mill 'Seven Seas Pure Cod Liver Oil' sufficient?

Why don't you eat much food?

If your stuck for time then I find a bag of microwave rice, a bag of microwave veg and a tin of fish or some meat to be a perfectly quick meal and would easily double what your eating now.

Peanut Butter on bread/toast is also another very quick and easy high calorie meal/snack.

There are other ideas but it's a start. You need to eat more, seriously.

This, **** whey protein, acquire micro-nutrients eating real food, like lean beef, eggs, chicken, tuna, salmon, beans and many more food.
