Suzi perry to replace Jake on BBC F1

She'll be OK I think, she did MotoGP well as she has passion for motor sport and knew her stuff. Lee McKenzie has zero charisma and though she is good she is no front person.

I think so too. I quite liked her when she presented MotoGP. Lee did well when she stood in for Jake but not a long term replacement. Whoever they chose, it is going to be hard to replace Jake because he did it so well.

Eddie is going to be unbearable. Proper old man pervert cringing TV.

I think Suzi will sort him out pretty quick.

I don't think she is a great choice really, but then I'm not sure who would be better? Who do they really have to choose from? My Sky goes off in 2 days time but can easily get it reconnected for next season if I feel it's going to be worth it over the bbc. I'm more worried about 2013 being a throw away season on the whole than anything else. hhmm

At least she has a real passion for Motorsport unlike Simon.

I don't think Simon did a bad job but it's obvious he didn't know anything about Formula 1 before he started the job in Australia, which sort of alienated the viewer a bit.

It took me a while to warm to him whereas with Jake it was pretty much instant.

I do think Simon got more comfortable in the second half of the season and you can tell that there is an interest there but he doesn't carry that passion that those around him have.

Jake didn't know much about Formula 1 until he got the job, but he bent over backwards to immerse himself into motorsports. He also managed to pull off the rather enviable by allowing the casual F1 fan to grow into the sport with him, unlike the ITV approach of assuming every viewer watched F1 while playing with Lego.

I didnt like Jake, Suzi will be fab Im sure.

I just wonder how much Apple paid Jake for wondering round with that ipad in his hand every race. Did he ever look at it. lol

He used it loads & it was part of his skill for you not to see him using it, I think Jake was brilliant & really grew into the job, Shame he chose to leave.
As for Suzi Perry they used to say you had to Qualify in the Top 10 on the GP grid to get into her knickers. :D
How she does will depend on her, If she runs around squealing all star struck trying to use her body to keep interest then she will be ****, If she concentrates on the job in hand then I'm sure she'll do a good job.
The one thing that worrys me about her is how desperate she got at the end of her Gadget show stint, She seems to think that showing a bit of extra leg will cover her short comings.
There is more than enough eye candy wandering around the grid so she needs to remember how old she is now & concentrate on the job not trying to **** the drivers.

Eddie ******** Jordan will be a nightmare without Jake there to block him. :(

The BBC went to great lengths to hide the fact it was an iPad, so I doubt it was a paid placement.

I'm not convinced Suzi can do the whole mature grown up presenter thing. I'm also not convinced the BBC want her too.

Damn.. Jake was one of the reasons that I enjoyed the BBC's programming. However I'll see how Perry does, seeing as it's now my only option to watch F1.

really is my luck that the only sport I actually get into quite a bit gets transfered to sky, then gets replaced presenters.

Oh well, atleast we still have DC and Eddie.. hopefully!

Good news. I thought that Jake was totally tosh. Good presenter, but rubbish in terms of F1. At least Suzi Perry is a racing fan, and did a good job of MotoGP. Jenny Gow really struggled to fill her shoes.

Jake started off well but as he became more confident he became more cocky and in the end was just annoying. It was a refreshing break to get Simon Lazenby on Sky last season, and the whole Sky team worked really well by the end of the season. Damon isn't wooden anymore and the addition of Johnny Herbert was a good one.

I remember comparing one race, Sky were doing a lap analysis on the big screen and I looked on BBC and they were showing a 'comedy' sketch of Eddie Jordan being 'arrested'. I'm glad we have a choice now.

The only thing I like about the BBC is the theme music, as I lived next door to the BBC producer who found it back in the day and I sit next to his son still at football.

Despised Jake from day one, and he had no knowledge of F1. At least Suzi has an actual interest in motorsport unlike that ***** Jake, the Fear Cotton of sports presenting.

The idea is that you have someone who doesn't know everything asking the experts in order to promote discussion and conversation. Jake did that really well. I quite liked him, although I agree that later on once he got the knowledge he started to get cocky and it just decended into a Top Gear trio of fools messing about.

Maybe Lee McKenzie will feel shunned by the BBC and will move to Sky to replace Simon or the Beige Bint?
