Suzuka Circuit -JAPANESE Grand Prix 2009 - Race 15/17

Vettel has a great track record when he starts from pole position. When Button beat Vettel (when Vettel was on pole), Button had a faster race car. On this occassion, Red Bull appear to have the faster race car.

My money would be on Vettel...unless Hamilton can do something VERY special.

Well yeah, my money is on the outsider as you can never rule him out. Both guys are new to the circuit too remember, just I feel Hamilton has less pressure and nothing to lose really. KERS won't be much of an advatage through the race, but could make things interesting to the first corner, there's a fair run down there though not really a stop until the second corner.

I really like Vettel but I couldn't see him as Champion this year - it would just feel wrong. It just hasn't felt like he's been 'there' all season, champing at the bit and going for it... hard to explain really but he just doesn't seem like a viable 'winner' yet.

I know what you mean - but it's happened before and it could happen again. In 1986 everyone was interested in the Mansell/Piquet duel and Prost came from behind (or was it equal with Piquet?) to pip the pair of them.
Same again for Raikkonen in 2007.

vettles hasn't go a chance of getting the title. Button needs 5 points in any one or a combination of the last races to make it imposable for vettle.

That can easily happen, especially if they keep qualifying low down.

easily? it's unthinkable button will not score 5 points in the last 3 races and that is assuming vettle wins all of them, which is not going to happen. Red bull on works on some tracks. He lost any chance at the WDC last weekend. That's also ignoring what Rubens does. maybe if Brawn were banned from racing he would have a 30% chance of getting it.

*waits for this post to bite me in the rear*

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't think it will happen either (and I hope it doesn't) but never ever say things like "unthinkable" in F1 where the unlikeliest events can and often do happen!

well judging by quali, were looking at multiple saftey cars. My bets are on 4

I think people will calm down in the race, unless we manage to get two cars close enough to be fighting for position. They'll settle into consolidation mode otherwise, and shouldn't be so close to the limit as they were today in qually.

Im hoping it rains tomorrow then it might mean a little more than diddly squat ;)

You know, I hope it does rain, cuz the cars are now all set up for dry racing, and we know from experience what happens when dry race prepared cars get rained on... the track turns into an ice-rink, and we have twice the crashes.. and Deyna will be a graveyard for sure.

Rosberg fueled heavily and no doubt we're going to see some safety car action tomorrow. Rosberg 1st win?

Hoping Jenson can pick up a point or 2 and get himself in front of barrichello.

anyone know what to expect weather wise?

I realy hope it rains :D
i had a vision , kimi loses it because he was eyeing up some ladys icecream he spins at the first corner and causes a pileup , then i see a brawn car coming out of the carbon fibre cloud i can barely make out the helmet, but there it is! rubens barrichelo! the other brawn car is laying in millions of peices around the track , jensons escaped without injury but his overalls have ripped revealing his underwear and its one of those man sized nappies :D

i think it could be anyones race tomorrow, Vettel will be pressured by Lewis and will end up in Deyna for it, Hamilton will be racing to win and will crash for it, Button and Rubens will race for points and there will be a personal battle between the two.

Or, everyone will have seen how easy it is to crash and take extra care, especially around Deyna.

You know what i had the exact same vision except it was Button that avoids the wreckage and goes on to win the race and secure the title.

This is prob why he doesn't deserve the championship, the amount 2 wins and 5 DNF with points

Button has had 5 wins and 1 DNF with points
Rubens has had 2 wins and 2 DNF with points
