going to watch quali and the race live - as someone said above it seems you "miss" something just watching a recording

Really hoping rain stays away for quali and the race (will be very interesting with a completely green track (rain is meant to stay until after 3rd practice)

Really hoping Button slaughters Rubens (and Vettlel to a lesser extent)

No idea, the first I think as the second was washed out and most only did 5-9 laps.

Can't believe button did not go out, in case he crashed. WTF get out there and win it you Muppet.

Well no he is not a muppet he has saved a set of intermediate tires for Sat, where as the others that went out have lost a set for nothing, now brawn has the advantage.

how do you figure that out. They have testing time and setup advantage. Something Brawn don't. set-up time and practice is far more important than saving a pair of intermediates. Especially if it's dry tomorrow and wet for eh race. Even if it's wet all the way through. They are behind the others. Regardless of tyres.

Especially seining as they said it's in case he wiped out and not to conserve tyres.

They have 4 sets of intermediates. More than enough especially as they can use one set over multiple practices if they wish.

Seems to me that the conditions were so bad that the teams weren't keen to let the cars go out.

Why on earth would Button risk damaging his car driving in conditions that would no doubt see the safety car in race day? There's no benefit to that at all.

he would find where the grip is in the wet and see where the standing water will be if it rains in the race? dont forget half the circuit was resurfaced so even if people know the track they wont know where the grip is

I'd probably take Ross Brawns and the drivers experience on these matters, wouldn't you agree?

i didnt say he should go out or not i simply stated what he would learn if he did go out and that is vital track knowledge.

we should probably just stop discussing formula one on these forums since non of us are team owners or drivers

I didnt watch the second practice but during P1 everyone in the commentary box and on pitlane was saying Qually and the race were going to be dry, has that changed now then?

ofcourse not its going to be bone dry because the weather is 100% predictable and can not possibly change :D
