8 out of the current 20 drivers have not driven an F1 car around Suzuka, which with the rain today meaning they didn't go full pace, may help those that know it?

half the track was resurfaced so those that do know it wont know half of it as well as they used to.

areas of grip , bumps , dips etc will be different so if it does rain on race day those who didnt go out wont know exactly where to aim the car to avoid becoming canal boat with a big engine

Early-morning misinterpretation from me, perhaps, but EJ seemed to imply that it had been confirmed that Donnington isn't getting the British GP.

They were talking about Suzuka's investment in updating facilities, and that Silverstone would be great if they could tart up the facilities "which they have to now, of course" [or something like that].
