Wasnt that finding all the Jedi exploiting the "funky" spawn point for max XP?

I LOVED the Geo caves bug, me an my friend a (BH naturally) would go an kill the sploiters with abit of TEF ownage :p

Nothing like chasing a Jedi into the Ackley room only to see him mobbed by 1000 things, good times. Same went for the thingy place on dantoonie little while after.. ah yeah the Warren, remember that? lol.

my best memory was when i first went up to do the corvette quest i was only about halfway through the rifleman skill tree so i wasnt realy that helpfull infact it was that bad i never really got to far away from the entrence so i just headed to the escape pods and waited there for the rest of them to finish the quest, best of all they got the part needed for my av-21 :D

the tefs were absolutely awsome, they provided such randomness in battles, especially in bh vs jedi battles that frequently turned into huge battles, unfortunatly for the rest of the players it was all too much for the carebears, who wanted to be in the gcw but not get attacked.. and wanted to be jedi and wanted to be alpha class but did not want to suffer the consequences, i never could understand it

omg LOL yes group tefs in theed with revenge killings, Get absoloutley naked, yes theres aplan to this lol, to stop your composite fall apart from dying so much . then reclone and pull off as many head shots 3s as you could before incapping yourself... lol

oh that was funnny i do have to admit that game had its moments of pure brilliance.

LOl storming into anchorhead with stun battons and beating down every poor tef'd sod that came to the mission terminal.

a 17 vs 3 in moena(sp) starport i once had, which actually isnt a big deal really lol

watching some rebel stacker fencer in LUXOR on that sandy planet run about with literaly 40 imps shooting and beating on him while he ran around in circles

I had to prone, eat loads of accuracy food, as much flipping acc as i could get, use every debuff i had then fire headshots still missed him about 90% of the time, that was ridiculous lol

me and Twilard Slim taking on an entire French rebel town, farming their entire base blowing up their 4 large turrets and slaughtering the 20 or so unbuffed(pointless defence tbh lol) poor saps that came to defend. Straff shotting clumps of people dead in a blaze of T-21 spam....

well, ive tried the game again ... /sob

peeps offer you 10mil for the vet gifts ; holo's , figurines etc
theres just no incentive to play it, no hunting groups or players to interact with for that matter ...
its funny how many peeps wanna trade to just see all your old stuff

ill post some pics 2moro ...

yes it was like that when i last tried the game back in june didnt really do much just went visiting places that i used to hangout at it was all dead no people it was good just to see it again but the life has gone and when i heard about the internet addiction thing i thought it would be nice to have a place to remember the good times that we all had there. had some good friends there that helped me through a lot all well maby in a galaxie far far away the swg we all love is going strong

Luxor, sounds like a town on Chimeara.

I remember camping Acklay just on the off-chance that I may outdamage the other campers. One time this Jedi called Byronara who could easily out damage me, I managed to aggro a klinic onto him and I killed the ackley and got uber bones, and waved to him on his trip to the cloner.

It was always difficult having 1 account and using 1 toon for looting, and PvP too. Im proud I went onto make a pre CU jedi, but I also welcomed the CU and its cloaking powers. I used to use all my building slots on miners to collect resources for my unlocked slot which was a MasterRifleman/Master Weaponsmith.

By the time I left I had over 280Million across both alts. I was quite pleased with one Trandoshan rifle made from looted parts from a mustafar spacestation, which made me 15million in the CU.

Here is a funny thread about someone whining when I tell em I have 737 dps saber lol:

Chimeara owned all :D

Was the around the 4th person to unlock on that server with my Scruff/jun'so account ;) which i sold later on and infact baught it back then sold before the nge just in time not to lose money (sold to a mate din't steal it back like some lowlifes did)

Also did jedi with my humpa Chu'pe account!!!!1!!! "munch munch Crunch" The village way.

I must say the holo's way was twice as much fun as the village and to me the village ruined it

First master class was CH/Carbs and me and my mate used to hit up the graveyard every morning bang crap load of tissues and pearls back when the dragons had 35k ham not 350k :D

Truth be told i tried to stop playing swg a few times (why i sold up) but even that could not keep me from the game. Even with all the faults which it had many. The open ended sandbox style was great.

But whats left now is awfull. They riped the heart out of the game stomped all over it :(

I remember waiting in anchorhead for a supposed imp attack only to find out I was alone, but what was even better imps started loading in 1 by 1 only to fall to /polearmdervish2 :p was a good day for pvp ranking.

im sure i fraps'd it gna have a dig thru my stuff

Cu pics.. ewww. /spit.
Thats NGE picks, CU was playable, at least jedi where given back their animations for melee attacks (after complaints that some bright spark had completely removed them). In the CU, a melee char consists of following a target holding attack down and watching a very rapid series of slappy wand movements.

In the CU I just rolled a medic, till my subs ran out.

Some of my screenshots, intense nostalgia warning lol, there all quite high quality as well so 56k maybe no

i remember being the first to exploit the geocaves RED WALL on bloodfin. Early days, getting all the parts for a scythe then standing in coronet starport with it and a croud of about 300 people :D

Those pics take me back, had a load saved from when i used to play. But forgot to back them up before formatting my hdd. Lost forever. :(

Why did they have to mess with it.

has anyone got any decent links to the SWGEmu?

Ive googled but only come up with useless tosh!

I actually enjoyed the entire early version, even with the bugs.

I remember finding a bug where you could keep a mission window open even when you where miles away from the console aloowing you to spend more time doing missions. However, a few people in the guild let it slip and lots of people started it, it was fixed shortly after!

I have to say I still play this even after all the crud hit the fan with the NGE. Looking at my Xfire profile I've racked up over 30 hours on it this week just playing around in space and doing the missions from the various squadrons. I've just completed my 8th squad, one left to go before I work my way back up an Imperial squadron to get back into my sexy TIE Advanced.

The NGE as it landed last November left the game in a very sorry state, I played for a while but I had to take a couple of months off once I had finished playing the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion. I decided to let the game rebuild itself a little and see what would happen. Now, the game is a lot
better than it was but I wouldn't say it was as fun as it was in the olden days. Lots of old content seems to be making a return to the game and I am seeing a lot of people coming online that I haven't seen for over a year. Lots of them stay and resubscribe which is nice to see.

The thing about the NGE I find is people say that all of their friends left and they had nobody left to play with. I went out and made new friend's, people that still stuck with it. Now I'm in the best guild I have ever been in and there are usually lots of them online to play with or do quests with. I think there is a free trial on at the moment (ore there was) where you can play for free for 14 days, I urge old players to log in and see if they can find a fun game to play in SWG again.
