Would you support a military strike on Syria without a UN Security Council resolution?

Why is Putin trying to escalate this into an all out war? Why does Russia care so much about Syria? It doesn't really add up.

Assad should get a slap for using chemical weapons and then we can leave them to get on with killing each other conventionally.

The only person escalating this is Obama at the behest of Haliburton and AIPAC.

I suppose along with the proof the Americans need to say that Assad did it, Russia should endeavour to find proof that the rebels have done it, instead of just mincing around suggesting it could have been them. Prove it! Trust works both ways.

That's so true.

You want Putin to move aside while usa bullies and bombs russias allies ?

The usa and uk have been claiming they get more and more proof by the day that Assad used chemical weapons on civillians, yet when asked where this proof is ..as always its up the backsides of those who support them so it cannot be shown.

So where is Russia's evidence that the rebels did it?

No, no, the proof can't be shown because it would reveal 'methods and processes of gathering intelligence.'

Like making it up.

Could you please share with us the evidence to indicate that Assad is responsible for the chemical attack? Puting is asking for proof that Assad is responsible and I for one agree with the Russian as he is asking for reasonable evidence. Putin has stated he would not rule out support for military action if it can be proved.
Sounds reasonable to me.

So Russia should provide the evidence that they must have as they are so sure Assad didn't do it? Wouldn't that be a more diplomatic solution rather than their impotent willy waving with Iran?

"Still not confirmed that it is chemical weapons, or that the government released it.." Could not have put it better myself, and I wouldn't trust the opinion of US representatives. lots of evidence points towards the rebels being armed by the US and the exact chemicals to make the gas (Not illegal in their stand alone form) have been exported from the US and the EU. Which begs the question why arm and attack when those arms are then used if not for an alternative agenda

Putin is not sure of anything, that is why he is keeping a calm head and seeking proof before taking reckless action as Cameron tried last week.
