Just saw it confirmed that the Americans are going in
10 - 7 votes in favour.
that just clears the way for a resolution to the senate next week.

Id have to agree, I can see cruisers being 'good' at point defense or protecting a target nearby but trying to intercept multiple missiles passing very low hundreds of miles to either side of you - I just cant see it happening.

Only 2 ships surely. 400km range = 800km coverage (unless the missiles can only fire one way, derp).
Wonder if one of the converted ssbns is there with its silly payload of 120 cruise missles![]()
I see! I jumped to the wrong conclusion![]()
And what's the diameter of that circle in relation to it's radius....Range is determined by drawing a circle with a ship at its centre, the circle radius is 400km....
eh???

What the hell Zefan.
Yeah, radius = 400km but diameter would be 800km. As in, each ship would cover 800km.
At least nobody picked up on my brain fartMath with the Dons time.
Woohoo.![]()

Proves the point even further then, 2 Russian ships completely close off coast of syria...
Nothing can circumvent my prying eyes
Speaking of circumvention which direction are the russian ships coming from?
Mr Hagel said any US military strike on Syria would not be a mere "pin *****" but would reduce Syria's military capability.
