T-REX

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Glad to hear at the end of the day it was just the PSU.

The QC of corsair is a disgrace now tbh and after seeing so many problems I think they have lost my business until I start hearing positive reviews.

Hope to see this all on water soon. ;)

This is looking really nice, sorry to hear about your PSU issues, thought about going corsair with my next upgrade, though after this and a few other horror stories I'm thinking about sticking with ocz. Looking forward to more pictures.

I'd rather go with corsair than ocz.
If you're geltting new, then just go superflower

sorry to hear about the PSU and glad it was just the PSU that died and nothing else in the system.

love the build and hope you get it back up and running soon :)

Listen man go to Corsair's forums and kick up a stink. I had some ram once that they rejected, I kicked off on the forums it got replaced.

Corsair are usually really good. I know they've cut come cheques to those who had leaky AIOs.

Ramguy is the person to approach here IMO.

Kicking up a stink in the Corsair forums is only going to get the response of "contact technical support and get an RMA". The forums are for support. Not for warranty claims.

Probably not, all I expect I can get is a new PSU out of Corsair but they won't be interested in any other damage caused.:)

Not sure why everybody assumes crappy service out of Corsair without even ringing them first. They do have a damage claim procedure. Of course, you're required to send whatever parts you think might have been damaged as well as the Corsair part (you wouldn't expect them to just take someone's word for it), but they'll come through without too much hassle.

Still, good to know that it DIDN'T kill anything and that it was just the PSU popping.

Actually, the QC at Corsair is exactly the same as it ever was... if not better. >>IF<< you look at the percentages and not just the raw numbers.

The problem is the volume of Corsair parts out there has increased considerably over the years. And since most people tend to complain when they have a bad experience and say nothing when they have a good experience (seriously... when's the last time you got something that worked the way it was advertised and went back and left a positive review? But if something dies on you, I bet writing a negative review is the first thing on your mind) then things can look exponentially more horrific than they actually are.

Actually I believe I am entitled to an opinion. I have been using corsair products for numerous builds and lately in my experience the overclocking on there products is not as good. They are using more plastic then ever in their cases and their psu's are made by an inferior manufacturer to previous years back. Therefore I believe I am in my right to state I don't think their QC is the same as before.

Sorry Kaapstad no this is not the place for this.
Have you any news on your bridge yet?

Blimey Kaap, when you turn this beast on my lights will flicker!

Bad luck on that PSU but kudos to you on your outlook, I'd be flapping like a goodun lol
